With the 2014 midterm elections less than seven months away and primary elections just around the corner, campaign ads are starting to appear on radio, television and the Internet. Lesser-known candidates challenging incumbents have been known to use ads that might be considered less-than-traditional.

Well, it used to be that there was a gentleman’s agreement, you didn’t get this crude. There was always “boner” as in bonehead, but this has now gotten into what adolescents do in order to go blind (proverbially speaking).
LOLOL!!!
used to be that there was a gentlemans agreement
That was before the establishment declared war on much of the base; the Tea Party.
*snicker*
And the Tea Party promptly plunged into the sewer??
This ain’t beanbag. But I guess you prefer Boehner who attacks the Tea Party with childish rants along with McConnell.
So the GOPe and the Dems can run ads showing a Republican throwing an old lady over a cliff and that is considered high brow and typical politics?
It’s funny and true. I suggest you do some research on the political campaigns of our founders. It wasn’t all sugar and spice.
It’s escalated to filth fight.
Because something happened before that makes it righteous, Bat?
I’m not the one with the problem with the ad. I find it perfectly acceptable and quite clever.
Frankly, I wish Carr thought of it and ran it against Lamar!
This ain’t beanbag and it ain’t a sewer. T OUThis is a takeoff on a real drug commercial on regular TV.

Ok, now I know I am reading things into this but I’d like to extrapolate here.
The Dims use lies and personal attacks against our guys. So since we are “better than them” we should not stoop to their level and just ignore the false attacks, right? In other words we should run all our campaigns just like Romney ran his. That worked out really well for our side, didn’t it?
Whoa there, champ, YOU were the one to suggest that the past (your fictional "gentlemen's agreement") should be followed in this case. Now you're arguing that precedence doesn't matter? Seems like you're just throwing arguments at the wall to see what sticks (and trying to preserve your fictional "dignity"). Research the slanders against Jefferson at some point. Politics is a blood sport...
In this case, it was rooted in Godliness. So trump your strawman.
