If you are a doctor and hate your job ... then you are not doing things right.
quit working for the hospital, go to a small town and open your own practice and don’t accept medicare, medicaid, or insurance and all your problems will magically go away.
A small-town doctor who opens a practice and doesn't accept insurance is likely to end up like a small-town auto mechanic who only works on Volvos, Saabs and Range Rovers.
my doc did just exactly that. He’s awesome. I don’t think he makes a TON of money, but he makes enough to live, and I think he has a lot of satisfaction with his job. He seems to anyways.
Sounds nice but ignores paying back school loans, cost of setup, not enough business to pay for malpractice insurance, complying with EMR, keeping up with continuing education, 24/7 call, etc......
There is a reason why small towns are losing their independent practice docs. It’s just not a viable business anymore.
When the upcoming doctor shortage happens Obama and Democrats will lower the standards for becoming a doctor.
In communist countries in the past a 'doctor' could have as little as 2 years of college. That's going to happen here.
With 'medicine the liberal way' there will be set-asides for people unable or unwilling to compete - - we'll have medical schools with no tests (discrimination) and 'doctors' with two year degrees.
Democrat's desire to shield criminals will add a new dimension. A 'doctor' could have a two year degree, not be able to read past a 5th grade level, AND have a criminal record. Think: 'medicine as social experiment/...
Welcome to tomorrow - America as envisioned by Democrats.
What fantasy world do you live in?
How many people in America today are going to pay out of pocket to see a doctor?
As another reply stated, not a viable business model and here’s another reason: demographics. The locations you cite skew strongly to the very demographics that rely on either Medicare or Medicaid for health care. Throw in another slice that can receive VA services and your potential market becomes very small before you even consider whether people have the means for out-of-pocket services.
Problem with that is that system of practice depends on healing and promoting preventive health, it involves the patient in his own care, knowing his own body, psycho eomotional state, maintaining diet and exercise and healthy coping habits
A small town md takes care of his pts gets and maintains a reputation of healing and keeping people out of his office thriving on preventive practices of his pts
He does not swoop them into a controlling deceptive swirling atmosphere of a medical center
Doctors are not socialized nor educated for this. It is a sick system. That’s why the parasites Obama and Hillary tried to take it over and why republicans do not have an answer
And your practice will likely be restricted to coughs, sore throats, bruises, ring worm and warts........anything else you'll probably be referring out........LOL!
And your income will likely be in the $30K range............
