LAS VEGAS -- Local rancher Cliven Bundy may have his cattle back, but his supporters say they are still preparing for an imminent threat.
Militia groups from all over the country say they are flocking to the Bundy ranch to protect the family from a feared federal government raid.
The Bureau of Land Management allowed Bundy to release his cattle Saturday, after they felt threatened.
Bundy now has a whole contingent of armed guards surrounding him 24 hours a day.
"They're just there, trying to make sure something crazy doesn't happen to him," Bundy's son Ammon Bundy said.
His security detail and family feel he is someone to be protected because of what the federal government could do.

Should the Bureau of Feudal Land Management, (BFLM), pay Cattle Ranchers to graze their own personal Cattle on BFLM lands?
The Cattle would reduce the amount of flammable fuels, such as dry grasses, that severely infest the tinderbox dry Nevada Scrublands.
Afterall, each year range fires add to the pristine Nevada air many metric tonnes of Carbon and CO2, a toxic gas according to the EPA political appointees., and Federal Judge appointees.
CO2 has been proven by settled science, and many open ballots by grant-dependent scientists to be the sole cause of the dreaded, man made, curse of Global Warming.
Since Climate Change has only been recently discovered, more tax dollars will need to be spent to determine the exact man made cause.
Recently, none other than Secretary of Statements John “Catch-up” Kerry warned the World that Climate Change is the most powerful Weapon of mass Destruction, EVER!
Grazing fees paid TO the Cattle Ranchers of Nevada would be a small but important Investment toward the reduction of toxic CO2, and thus reduction of the Worldwide threat of Global Warming, and almost certainly Climate Change.
Thus, the tree-huggers and the Cattlemen could be friends.
The Liberals could see the Ocean levels subside, and all could feast on cheaper Nevada beef!
I don't know either but I know my State's militia performs background checks on prospective members. Easy enough for a fed to fake but... I would guess there is a probationary period. I'd bet they "get to know you" by getting together with you and your friends, talking to your friends about you, etc.
IMO, this has nothing to do with what’s best for the land, or even what is the right thing to do here philosophically. It’s about enriching a few powerful individuals and fulfilling under the table agreements with the Chinese and a few large corporations.
I noticed that too. The normal law enforcement agencies don’t want to touch this. I suspect they may know something that probably involves Dingy Harry.
Amen. Prayers up for our militia patriots.
Sounds like psyops are being utilized to wear down the family and saying now not to believe anything unless it's from them, too late - the barn door's open.
US marshalls should be handling an execution upon a federal court judgment, but he’s (who’s ‘he’?) got the BLM doing it. What does that tell you?
It’s like Lincoln county range war, but the “Regulators” are govt. hired hands. It’s also like the movie ‘There Will Be Blood’ where the oil man needed one all-out parcel in order to build his pipeline, and arguably it’s like the government using troops in mining and veteran strikes.
There’s got to be infiltration. People show up and just mix with the larger crowds. CIA, ATF, FBI, they’re all undercover.
Another way forward,,.
Lower your flags, march straight back to England stopping at every home you pass by to beg forgiveness for one hundred years of theft rape and murder. Do that, and your men shall live, do it not, and every one of you will die today.”
And this Daily KOS 'reporter' doesn't like it: http://www.dailykos.com/story/2014/04/14/1291988/-Nevada-s-GOP-governor-senator-back-Bundy-ranch-over-federal-law#
There’s a long account of an attorney from LA who went over to NV. If it’s true, there’s a lot of citizens being scrutinized, property being destroyed, roadblocks. It’s the other Ranch thread not Jim Robinson’s.
yessum,,, agreed
if people come to conclude that the government considers itself no longer subject to laws , under the U.S. Constitution , they may consider that neither are they
Thanks for the tip!
It takes 320 acres to raise one cow for one year in dry country range, or 2 cows per square mile, if the drought is not to prolonged.
Ranchers know that a healthy range will be good for their Cattle and their Ranch for years to come, and manage their grazing range very conservatively.
Politicians understand nothing of what I have just written, and have saddled us with 17 trillion reasons why politicians are Public Enemy Number One.
Native Americans experienced to their great harm that DC politicians “spoke with forked tongue,” just as they do today - - - .
That movie by Costner is fast becoming one of the best westerns in the modern era.
Men have been making machine tools for centuries.
Good point and a good idea. I must start smiling at them once more. It will perhaps help make them less defensive like we’re the enemy and become part of the community again.
Good point, and why should they?! Then there are the ‘Unalienable Rights’ the Constitution speaks of. Forcing someone to buy something they don’t want (i.e., healthcare insurance) certainly qualifies. I think the Bundys having ranched this area before Nevada was even a state also qualifies.
