New Common Core Kid’s Book Depicts White Racists Who Wouldn’t Vote For Obama

A children’s book that is part of the Common Core curriculum portrays white voters as racists who would never vote for Obama for president. The book called, “Barack Obama,” says: “Some people said Americans weren’t ready for that much change. Sure Barack was a nice fellow, they said. But white voters would never vote for a black president,” the book reads. This is in spite of the fact that millions of whites voted for the sitting president. Follow TLR on Google+

Common Core’s implementation has gotten off to a rocky start. States like Indiana have opted out of the unified educational standards, with Governor Mike Pence signing legislation that removed the state from required participation. Still, the law doesn’t fully prohibit some parts of Common Core from being implemented.

In New York, the first state that implemented the guidelines, a girl was suspended from school after she told classmates that they were able to opt out of the Common Core English test. She was suspended for insubordination for two days after the incident. Students at another school were rewarded with ice cream if they took the test, and students who refused to take it were punished by having their ice cream withheld.

Common Core State Standards will reportedly have little to no impact on student achievement according to a study published by the Brookings Institution. The report concluded that it would take 24 years to achieve a noticeable improvement, making it harder to understand why the federal government is pushing so desperately for the unified educational standards.

Common Core has been creating strange bedfellows coalitions across the United States, with conservative seeing it as obtrusive federal overreach and liberal activists seeing it as an attack on teacher’s independence. Left/Right grassroots groups have been rallying to fight back against the unified standards for different reasons, but with the same goal of decreasing the federal government’s ability to restrict the rights of teachers, students and parents.

In New York recently, parents and teachers held a rally in support of students opting out of the statewide Common Core English exams.

Common Core is merely icing on a poop cake.

Our government schools are a single-payer, compulsory-use, SOCIALIST entitlement! Nothing good can come from that. It only took one to three generations of government SOCIALIST schooling to give the nation Woodrow Wilson and Franklin D. Roosevelt. And....with each generation it gets worse.

And...Nearly every teacher in this nation was trained by **godless** Marxists in Marxist run colleges of education.

So!.....While conservatives run around like flies with their wings pulled off chasing the political or educational issue of the day ( Common Core is just the latest) , the Communists LAUGH! ( They have the kids.)

Our nation is DOOMED unless these government SOCIALIST schools are completely shut down and conservatives work like crazy to see that every child in this nation has access to a conservative education.

( Yeah! I am shouting, jumping up and down, and having a fit. I am both alarmed and exasperated with conservatives who neither see the problem or even understand that government schools are SOCIALIST SINGLE PAYER SCHOOLS and ALWAYS HAVE BEEN!)

There was a thread posted by a perfect lady or some such name, not bothering to ping) supporting Common Core’s excellence.

Some people don't have very high standards.

I've seen examples of Common Core stuff and it's an abomination.

1. Get rid of the department of education. Caution, presidential candidates lie about doing this, ie Reagan.

2. Secede, only states have to obey the doe, free nations do not have to.

3. Eliminate Ed degrees.

4. Smash teacher's unions.

5. Eliminate the textbook publishing racket/scam.

6. Stop telling kids that they are descended from monkeys.

Common Core is more a symptom than a problem. The problem is all the conservatives in the country that send their kids to PUBLIC SCHOOLS expecting better. Thankfully, people on this site know what happens to those kids.

I guess they don’t teach what painting groups of people with a broad brush is anymore. So they’re telling us that none of us would have voted for Condoleezza Rice or Herman Cain ( before his fall ) if given the option. Nice to know that not only has Common Core decided to ignore history but they now also speak for us.

None of us will probably be able to ever vote for a black conservative as we’ll never get the choice. The MSM will start on a campaign of personal destruction the moment one announces a run every time.

Wait a minute! Common Core sucks, but this, in the context provided, is pretty meaningless...because it’s true.

“Some people said Americans weren’t ready for that much change....But white voters would never vote for a black president,” the book reads.

Of course, the people saying that were mislead, gullible racist black people, but still true.

Wouldn’t vote for Barry because we did our homework, not because he is half black.

Really, one of the basic tenets or propaganda is to repeat the CORE phrases of the message you want to get across with repetition. It is harder to refute that message and sooner or later it will get across to the masses.

In fact it will be accepted as fact and the truth. How can anyone not see what is going on?

War on Women, Reproductive care, Republics/Whites are racists, Affordable Health-care Act, etc, etc, etc, etc.....

ANOTHER REASON TO HOMESCHOOL

This ping list is for the “other” articles of interest to homeschoolers about education and public school. This can occasionally be a fairly high volume list. Articles pinged to the Another Reason to Homeschool List will be given the keyword of ARTH. (If I remember. If I forget, please feel free to add it yourself)

The main Homeschool Ping List handles the homeschool-specific articles. I hold both the Homeschool Ping List and the Another Reason to Homeschool Ping list. Please freepmail me to let me know if you would like to be added to or removed from either list, or both.
