A mention of former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush (R), a potential 2016 presidential contender, brought boos from a conservative crowd in New Hampshire on Saturday.
Speaking at the New Hampshire Freedom Summit, a gathering of conservative activists and figures organized by Americans for Prosperity and Citizens United, billionaire Donald Trump said Bush’s recent comments on immigrants coming to the U.S. as an “act of love” were “out there.”
“You know, I heard Jeb Bush the other day,” he said, with quiet boos and angry murmurs erupting from the crowd at the mention of Bush’s name.

They are so use to shoving who they want down our throats and getting away with it. Look what they did to Herman Cain when they saw how popular he was becoming. I hope it’s not going to work this time.
Neither Bush president were socialist but they sure as hell weren’t conservatives.
And as for that, “compassionate conservativism” that was a load of crap.

Jeb Bush is a fine person, but he is NOT a conservative. He is a “moderate”, drifting left with the times.
Terri Schiavo begs to differ
Back around 1990, in California, Richard Riordan (sp.) was an effective and very popular mayor in Los Angeles (and he was a white guy, if you could believe it). He made a ton of money in business and knew how to manage people.
So he decides to run for governor as a Republican and is an instant favorite. But in the PRIMARY season he makes a statement to the effect that one nominated, he liberate the Republican Party from its “extremist” elements and make it more “inclusive”, and he was clear what that meant (neutral on abortion, all for gay rights, etc.). Again, that was during the Primary season.
That was the end of his chances of being nominated - he sank immediately. The party didn’t do well, but there really isn’t much they can do there, now that the Illegals from 1986 can vote, thanks to Amnesty back then.
So be HAPPY about Jeb, we can club him to death over this (note to NSA, just an expression), much as we did, rightfully, with Perry. If some Republicans want Amnesty, there is another party that is MORE THAN HAPPY to support them. So, hopefully, Jeb goes away now.
Jeb was not the Florida during the Terry Schiavo incident, was he?
Concurring bump...its hard to argue against a Clinton redux with another Bush hovering in the background.
Bailing out the large businesses with TARP (taxpayers money and the national debt) in 2008 sure doesn’t sound capitalistic to me.....

Jeb was Governor of Florida from Jan 99 to Jan 07. Schiavo died in 2005.

I think the poster meant that GWB ADVANCED socialism though he probably never thought of himself as an acutal socialist. So many TX Republicans still revere him.
Here is how it will go in 2016...Democrats will cross over and vote in Red Hampshire's 'open primary' to vote for worst GOP candidate on the ballot...just like they do every four years. Demand the primary be closed, or suck it up when we get another McCain or Romney.
Red Hampshire needs to go last instead of first...a refreshing change.
