LAS VEGAS (AP) Images of a forced cattle roundup on a rural Nevada range sent ripples through the West on Friday, prompting elected officials in several states to weigh in, militia members to mobilize and federal land managers to reshape elements of the operation.
Bureau of Land Management officials dismantled designated protest areas Thursday and Nevadas governor urged calm as the fight over rancher Cliven Bundys cattle widened into a debate about states rights and federal land-use policy.
The dispute that triggered the roundup dates to 1993, when the BLM cited concern for the federally protected tortoise. The agency later revoked Bundys grazing rights.
Bundy claims ancestral rights to graze his cattle on lands his Mormon family settled in the 19th century. He stopped paying grazing fees and disregarded several court orders to remove his animals.

The real battle begins...the battle for control of public opinion. How’s it going Neil?
This is a blue-purple state too. If they tried this crap somewhere like Mississippi or Oklahoma, we could have a real show of force and it would never last as long as this did.
We owe gratitude to the militias who came in to defend the Bundy family as well as the local protesters who trucked in food and drink to sustain everyone. This will go down as the Battle of Bunkerville.
Is there anything in America that is not owned by the Federal Government. Even your body is now their property. Really get a good look where we are. Really believe that America may be finished.
TeaParty: Resist in Place.
Is it readily apparent why the feds want to disarm The American People yet? I’d say so. The lefties still don’t get it and won’t until their own parents are euthanized by Obamacare or they or their families are marched to firing lines once the feds don’t require their assistance anymore to effect the NWO and they are deemed non-productive “units”...
Im told that the State of Nevada has 82 % of its land under Federal Control.
What is the % of that 82 % in under the control the Federal Bureau of Feudal Land Management for re-distribution to Commune-orgaanized Obamanation?
Maybe Nevada Feudal Lord Reid, or his Commie Son might know - - - ?
And Harry Reid’s involvement in this affair, if any, should also be investigated.
Those types are too stupid to realize they are nothing more than useful idiots and you would be wasting your time trying to convince them otherwise.
People were gathering and local LE backed the farmers against the feds.
I doubt that will ever happen.
What is going to happen, if they keep pushing the protection of endangered species is going to result in the militias actively hunting to extinction these species.
Once the endangered species are extinct, problem solved.
Excuse me? There are official areas wherein our First Amendment rights are actually recognized by the federal government? Outside of which, what?
The hammer was so far up that nobody ever thought it was coming down, but it's coming down, and there isn't any stopping it.
So interesting:
Once there was a firm tie between “Harry Reid” and this mess, the goons changed totally.
I am SURE this has nothing to do with the approaching mid-term elections, right?
And the big casino pay-offs to Reid’s NYC broadway daughter, right?
Verrrry interesting...
It was the Bundy's and close friends who first decided not to back down and defend. That determination and stand they took was the draw for many other like minded people, mostly from Nevada and the western states.
It took off like a fuse on the Internet, while most of the MSN had their heads up their asses, fixated on government corruption 10k miles away in Russia.
When the hell did the BLM get all that battle rattle for their rangers?
At our expense, how else? Gotta have their toys.
I am told by a FRiend I shall not name that the term is “Gear Queers”. :-)
Forget the MSM dinosaur media. They’re losing more market share every day as real Americans wake up to their lies. Drudge really took this story and ran with it.
