The Tea Party zealots who havent learned from their mistakes in 2010 and 2012 are trying their best to screw up the GOPs chances to win the Senate this fall.
Where does the Tea Party find these people to run in primaries? Most important, why do they offer them up as legitimate Republican candidates?
The Tea Party bosses have been listening to too much talk radio. They seem to think that what makes a good Republican candidate is someone who sounds like a talk radio host.
But talk radio is all about bombast and attracting callers, not about winning elections.
If Republicans are going to win general elections in 2014 and beyond, weve got to put up principled conservative candidates who sound like senators, congressmen, and governors not kooks.

RR: “If you analyze it I believe the very heart and soul of conservatism is libertarianism
...The basis of conservatism is a desire for less government interference or less centralized authority or more individual freedom and this is a pretty general description also of what libertarianism is.
Apology being awaited.
It obviously needs to be explained to you that the GOPe is in cahoots with the Left as enablers (if not outright handlers), i.e. the “Right-Left Establishment.”
After the Bush/Boehner/John Roberts collusion on Obamacare, there is no such thing as right vs left politics anymore; it the RightLeft Establishment vs conservatives.
So your post trying to shade libertarian Left wing versus Christian Right wing (or whatever dated political point you were trying to make) makes no sense.
Sorry.
Yeah, that Akin / Tea Party angle really burned me up. He was nothing close to a TP candidate, and only claimed the mantle to try and paint himself as the innocent victim of the GOPe. He was victimized by them, but he also had enemies in the TP, and he was NOOOO TP candidate.
Some fell for it though .
I think you are truly misunderstanding things, of course the GOPe is in cahoots with the left, so is libertarianism.
The tea party is conservative, it didn’t support Akin, and it is not libertarian.
When you hear Rand Paul call out for the GOPe to move left on gay marriage and social issues, you are hearing the same thing the GOPe and libertarianism is saying.
Akin was Michelle Bachmann and Huckabee’s baby and was not a normal situation, so I don’t know why he gets so much fame and gets brought up so much, that was the same election that Southern Baptist, Ted Cruz got elected.
The tea parties and Palin were split on two other candidates, Akin had the least tea party support and was asked to get out by Palin and major tea party elements and the GOPe.
Some TP “leaders” fell for Akin’s pathetic attempt - he won the primary with the McCaskill vote crossing over because they knew he was pathetic. There were TWO other candidates in the primary who were both more TP than Akin. Akin was a six term congressman, more estab than TP, until the primary was over. Bruner and STeelman both.
Sounds like you fell for Akin too. Figures ..
You have got to be kidding, that old lonely quote from his 1975 campaign, while being interviewed by libertarians for a libber magazine?
With his degree in economics and his mastery as a politician, Reagan opened with a brilliant quote to make a connection with his audience.
He then proceeded to explain to them that he was a conservative, including an anti-gambling social conservative, and anti-prostitution, and for a strong national defense.
Reagan was no libertarian, in fact the greatest election the libbers ever had, was running against Reagan in 1980.
I think you repeated my observation about the tea party and Akin, and your intuition is terrible if you think I ever supported Akin.
I believe that I only made one real Akin post, I couched it in mild language, but I did manage to say what I felt without getting involved in the political argument.

I dont know anything about Akin, and a 12 year, good voting record sounds great, but I did catch most of his interview on the Hannity show, and he gave me the willies.
Im ready for a good conservative underdog fight, but Akin seemed creepy that day, fixated on winning the next office, self absorbed, vain, and rigid, egoistical in a quiet, mock Christian way, is he always like that?

My prayer is that the true bankster/NWO motives of the elites are exposed so conservatives quit failing for their Hegelian “right vs left” mind-games.
This is their divide and conquer tactic that's been destroying this country for years All that Rand-Ron Paul Libertarian nonsense is dated GOPe trolling disinfo to see "what flies" on FR.

I think JimRob is completely aware of what the Hegelian “divide and conquer” tactic of the Left RightEstablishment is all about.
It’s your meandering posts that make no sense, though I’m impressed at your “GOPe paid consultant” manner of quoting factoids.
Bored now of troll feeding, though.
Thanks for playing.
I think you have the wrong one of us making “meandering posts”.
It’s hard to know what your point is, and you seem to confuse conservative and GOPe/libertarianism, you know the guys who share the liberal views about so many issue.
Paul is a good representation of how the GOPe and the libertarians are melding into a force united against conservatism.
Get it now?
Yes, and the Akin issue also exposed a vein of TP folks who are not paying attention and who immediately assume everyone opposed by the GOPe is somehow worthy of support. Many are, but not all, and not Akin.
you are so paranoid and obsessive compuslive that you keep arguing points I am not disagreeing with. You’re like a child, only not cute anymore.
Todd Akin WAS NOT A TEAPARTY CANIDATE in 2012!!!!!
Yes, they are, so are the libertarians and Rand Paul, and they are figuring out that united, they can both attain their goal of defeating conservatism.
Your troll is showing. Like I said, thanks for playing.
So you think JR is a troll for his thoughts on libertarians, and Rand Paul?
