What good is insurance if it means you cant find a doctor to treat you?
-snip-
My shiny, never used Horizon health card is as effective as a dollar bill during the Great Depression. In fact, an expert tells CNN, I think of (Obamacare) as giving everyone an ATM card in a town where there are no ATM machines.

On the other at $600-700 for hospital care, you’re talkin’ cool cash. If she had been sick, I betcha those same 96 doctors would banging at door asking her for her phone number.
So do we just cave and pay everyone's insurance and allow them unlimited access to the best medical care?

Sort of like the old Blockbuster policy: You could only reserve a movie if it was in the store. If it was out, you couldn’t.
I remember arguing with a dumb relative about this law. Her big point was this will empty out the emergency rooms.
And “affordable” is relevant, huh.
It can be repealed, and the free market system will come in and restore the kind of things that were being offered before. Are you here to spread fud?
There is something more here. Every time some dim propagandist talks about replacing inferior policies with quality health car, call them out. The damn Obama care is not accepted by hospitals or doctors. Such high quality theft!
“Ninety-six doctors measured the value of my life by how much the government is willing to pay for my preventive visit. “
Hey John, at $23.50 a visit, none of those doctors would be treating ANYONE within a month, because there’s this little thing called “overhead” that doctors have to pay for in order to treat patients. “Overhead” includes liability insurance, rent, utilities, license fees, continuing education, medical supplies, computer systems, and personnel, including receptionist, nurse, and back-office people to hassle with getting paid by the government and insurance companies. Oh, and the doctor has to get paid enough so he pay for food, clothing and shelter for his own family.
Why is it that you think a doctor who’s studied and paid for training for for 22 years of his life owes YOU anything?
“Obamacare seems to have added little or nothing in the way of additional medical care to these mostly non- paying people, little or nothing more than what they already had for free”
That’s exactly what I never understood about Obamacare. People w/o the resources for health insurance have had access to MediCADE. What difference has Obamacare made? Except that now they MUST sign up for Obamacare. The whole thing is a fraud.
Fud? No; just reality. The medical and healthcare system we’d had is dismantled so badly that it will take decades to put it back together again, like Humpty Dumpty’s pieces. And they also say that the free market system is badly damaged, too, intentionally, as part of 0bummer&Co’s agenda. Not my assessment, but rather the consensus of industry/pharm/med-mfg/direct care people who know how the intricately the system was linked and worked. I hope they’re wrong and it can be patched and repaired.
Yes. Much Ado about nothing. Except Obama threatens to destroy all of the rest of our health care arrangements, throwing us ALL into the county hospital emergency room or it’s equivalent. And for care at his discretion ( or the discretion of his death panels). Or something like that. That’s where the big change will occur. Not in expanding care for the indigent but in reducing or denying care for the “ middle class.”
surprise surprise surprise
She concluded “Though the government, under President Obama, has made tremendous strides in equalizing the divide between the healthcare haves and have nots.’”
Yes, the divide is closing. Nobody will have healthcare, but everybody will be insured. Hows them equal apples?
I don't think they can "send" you to jail after they cause your death.
Well, dangit, of course they can, but I don't think they will.
Which city/area are you in?
