Put another way, Kathleen Sebelius has resigned and Senior Administration Officials are telling the media it is because of healthcare.gov.
You do not have a celebration event last week to celebrate 7 million sign ups and have Sebelius there to get credit then this week throw her under the bus because of a screw up that happened last October.
They have been standing with her since last October. They stood with her when the Presidents polling was nosediving and throwing her under the bus could have stopped the bleeding.
They are doing so now. Sebelius actually resigned last week and the President already has a nominee ready to roll out tomorrow.
Why?
Their internal polling must be terrible and they want her gone and the issue treated as old news before the GOP takes the Senate in November.
Sebelius leaving now is a pretty direct admission against interest that the Democrats expect to lose the Senate and do not see any events on the horizon to change that momentum. Now, theyre just trying to slow the momentum down.

EVERY Obama wh*re is an ex-Clinton official (male and female).
As I’ve said before, IMO Bill and Hillary are still the power in the democrat party—Obama is merely a competent placeholder, and doing excellent bidding for his heavily-encumbered bosses the Clintons, by the way. The depth and pervasiveness of the Clinton evil within the democrat party, even now, has facilitated the otherwise impossible gains.
Obama is their Second Reich. Hillary is their Third Reich.
Good triumphs over evil eventually, and this Clinton cabal will pass someday too.
Exactly. Plus all bets are off if the GOP passes amnesty.
If they do, I would not hold my breath waiting on a Senate Majority.
Most people won’t notice. Obama butt lickers will praise his leadership. And democrat politicians will say it’s all Sebelius’ fault.
I doubt most will notice.
Its not sebelliuscare after all.

LOL..... Good one!
The area under the bus is full we need another bus
Remember, Democrats vote November 5.....................
“Yeah, like a citizen of this idiocracy will notice this? American idol is still on.”
no kidding. and then, on the local news tonite, it’ll be car accidents, fires and maybe the closing of some local landmark restaurant.
and tomorrow at school their kids will study diversity.
I want to see Burwell completely raked over the coals over that at her confirmation hearings.
BTTT
Wouldn't be surprised if the 7.1M figure is going to be "revised" downward drastically in the next week or two ...
If Conservatives are cheering the demise of Kathleen Sebelius as if she’s the Wicked Witch of the West who just got a bucket of water thrown on her and vaporized into nothingness, Leftists who still strongly support ObamaCare must be feeling just the opposite.
By resigning, Kathleen Sebelius has abandoned her not-yet-fully-formed baby, ObamaCare, as if she realized it is hopelessly deformed and will never reach a healthy maturity. The Leftists must be outraged at this public abortion of their socialized-medicine dream.
It goes without saying that if Ms. Sebelius thought ObamaCare was a good program, she would be happy to stay and defend it from its critics. But she knows it’s an indefensible disaster. That’s why she’s leaving town, and leaving all remaining ObamaCare supporters bereft of a defender of their favorite program.
She’s dumping that meager $200k govt salary and heading for the multi-millions per year in lobbying or consulting.
Gotta pad her retirement a bit.
Canning or caning?
I feel very strongly both ways.
They get to choose her replacement now, without Senate opposition. Probably not the case next year.
“Sylvia is one of ole BJ’s girls”
What an unfortunate coincidence.
I think we would be better off letting Dem retain control of the Senate. If Republicans take control, this administration and their enablers in media will blame everything that has gone wrong over the last 5 years on Republicans and the American people are too stupid to know otherwise.
Obama is already forced to advance his agenda through executive fiat, taking control of the Senate will gain us nothing but will give Progressives more canon fodder to blame Republicans and the Tea Party for EVERYTHING!
Mock my words, this is not a good thing.
GOP Takes the Senate and Keeps house—watch as people flee the White House before the special prosicutors and Impeachment Trial. The books that will be written! The new scandals, maybe deaths! Its will be bad for the Progs—but Good for the Tea Party—it maybe be called “The Tea Party Strikes Back” or “The Revenge of the Tea Party”
Fem-Lurch resigned?
Guess I’ve been busy today...
The needn’t worry. The GOP-e will give it to them without a contest.
