With tensions rising ever faster in eastern Ukraine, the anti-government (pro-Russia) movement in Donetsk has taken dramatic steps to bolster itself by creating a "people's army," or National Army of Donetsk. As RT reports, masked men, who are mostly civil volunteers, but also police and army defectors, say they defend their motherland from the fascist army thats going to kill them. They also demand a referendum to be independent from Kiev and are in favor of being with Russia.
The Ukraine forces are moving in on Donetsk...

Truth—The first victim of war. No “good guys” here. America should step back—Defend Poland and NATO but don’t get involved in this mess. If I were President—I would have a training mission to Poland right now, send a few ships to the Baltics, and a task force to the Black Sea.
As you must know, Russia Today is owned by the Russian government. You appear to claim it is the only English language source of live coverage of events in Donetsk, and therefore, if we don’t accept its coverage as truthful, we should not be posting on this message board. Have I understood you correctly?
By the way, a non-government owned useful source of news in English about events in Ukraine is the Kyivpost. I realize that some will argue that it is not a legitimate news source because it is not rabidly pro-Putin, but in fact it is reasonably even handed in its treatment of events.
The military and police were ordered not to touch the firebomb throwing, Soros Globo-stooges in Kiev. If the military and police start shooting these people then we’ll know who the good guys and bad guys are.
“By the way, a non-government owned useful source of news in English about events in Ukraine is the Kyivpost”
Check my history. I have posted articles from the Kyivpost. Now, do you have something to add? Or are you just here to troll and smear?
But post something critical of the Russian government's version of the news, and all of a sudden it becomes about the Soros/sodomite/Nazi/globalist agenda.

I agree, but that isn’t how this is going to play out. This has devolved into a swinging schlong contest between Obama and Putin, with Putin holding the better hand..
The clear evidence of US Involvement in the overthrow has given Putin all the excuse he needs. Obama’s narcissism, weakness, and incompetence has handed Putin a golden opportunity on a silver platter.
LOL, as if Putin sits on his behind waiting for an “excuse” to do something.
I am hardly here to troll. Quite the contrary. Please reread my post. Indeed, you acknowledge that you are familiar with the Kyivpost, yet in your prior post you invite people to name another English language source with near live coverage of events in Donetsk besides Russia Today. I responded to you and also pointed out Russia Today is owned by the Russian government. In response, you call me a troll (although you don’t deny the truth regarding RT’s ownership).
I was thinking the same thing...
Not only that, but along all of the Russians in Ukraine there is at least 1/3 of Ukrainians that are against Kiev regime and are supporting Russia.
In Donetsk, and Kharkov, over 60% voted for pro-Russian president (ousted by coup)
I thought that number was 160%?
US media is mute regarding the unfolding events in Ukraine. Does anyone have a blog site that has continually updated news
from the stand off in Eastern Ukraine? Thanks.
The real difference I suppose is that the Russians are up front about their funding/involvement and the Americans like to hide in the background.
Kind of reminds me of the old saying "stop lying about me or I'll start telling the truth about you".
I think your post was intended for me. Knock yourself out, show us the link with the U.S. State Department.
Also, I am not aware that RT is upfront about its Russian government ownership. On its site, it refers to itself as an “Autonomous Nonprofit Organization”.
“Autonomous Nonprofit Organization.” I love that, it’s got such a CCCP ring to it.
