With tensions rising ever faster in eastern Ukraine, the anti-government (pro-Russia) movement in Donetsk has taken dramatic steps to bolster itself by creating a "people's army," or National Army of Donetsk. As RT reports, masked men, who are mostly civil volunteers, but also police and army defectors, say they defend their motherland from the fascist army thats going to kill them. They also demand a referendum to be independent from Kiev and are in favor of being with Russia.
The Ukraine forces are moving in on Donetsk...

The Ukraine's 48 hour deadline for action ends in the morning.
In addition, an unconfirmed tweet saying "Reports that a non-passenger airplane from USA has just landed in the Donetsk airport" has popped up in the last few minutes.
They are calling all of this "The Russian Spring", and it has a hashtag that has been busy, "#Russianspring"
Their source is Russia Today. Nothing to see here, folks, move along.
Springtime for Putin and Russia;
Winter for Ukraine and the Baltics.
“Their source is Russia Today. Nothing to see here, folks, move along.”
How dumb is that?? Got another English language source you might approve of, that has nearly live coverage of events in Donetsk? If you do, I’ll be glad to review it. If not, please stay off the thread.
Is there a source where we can get brief description of all the parties involved in the Ukrainian conflict, so we can identify who the bad guys and good guys are?
We can’t trust our current Fed govt to be accurate in our alliances anymore, now that we are supporting the world’s most depraved savages in the Syrian conflict.
If it comes to armed combat, it will be a full scale civil war.
No one in eastern Ukraine trusts Kiev. And of course Moscow could still intervene should things get out of hand.
Good thing I got it under control, huh?
“If it comes to armed combat, it will be a full scale civil war.”
It is already a Civil War, the shooting so far has been contained to just a few incidents.
But then, so was ours, at the start.
Bump
Russia already has intervened and is doing everything possible to ensure things get “get out of hand” so that is will have a pretext to launch an actual invasion.
Like I said earlier - RT was the first to report on a U.S. aircraft carrier heading to station itself off the coast of Syria last year, when Odumbo was considering bombing Syria.
Reason.com (awesome source for info) was the second, then others followed - though sheepishly.
RT - like MSDNC, SEE BS, Washington Compost, New York Slimes, etc, must all be verified.
“Russia already has intervened and is doing everything possible to ensure things get get out of hand so that is will have a pretext to launch an actual invasion.”
The foreign policy, or lack thereof, of Obama and the Academic Radicals he is surrounded by, has handed the Machiavellian Putin an opportunity he couldn’t pass up, on a SILVER PLATTER.
For a permanent Putinista propagandist, you’re awfully sensitive when people laugh at your world according to RT posts.
Gee, I wonder if Putin has thought of that.
Every time you attempt to disseminate Russian propaganda - I will try to be there to comment - tough luck.
RT is the most notorious of all Putin tools, English doesn’t make it true.
You’ve identified correctly the real fault lines here. If you liked the Soviet Union, you’ll love Putin’s Russia.
Like I said, if you have a more current English-language source of events, I’ll be happy to review it.
If you have something to discuss about the facts of the article, I’ll be happy to discuss it.
If you can only scream “PROPAGANDA!”, without adding anything to the discussion, just go away.
I don’t discuss propaganda, sorry. If you show any facts - I will be glad to discuss.
