In a major break in a race against time, searchers for MH370 have detected two new electronic pings both received in the last 24 hours from what they hope is the missing Boeing BA +1.23% 777-200s black box flight data recorders. The news was announced at a Wednesday morning press conference in Perth.
Im now optimistic that we will find the aircraft; whats left of the aircraft, Retired RAAF Air Marshal Angus Houston told reporters.
Just days before batteries on the black box pingers are expected to expire, Australian authorities leading the southern Indian Ocean search for the Malaysia Airlines 777 confirmed that Australian Defence Vessel Ocean Shield had, in fact, detected two new pings in the current northernmost search area; or some 1500 km (930 mi) northwest of Perth.
The U.S. Navys TPL-25 Towed Pinger Locator sonar, now deployed on the Ocean Shield, has been operating 24 hours a day at depths of up to 9000 ft. Thus far, it has detected four separate ping events; two on April 5th and two on April 8th local time.
The most recent signals detected by the ocean shield were consistent with what you would expect from a black box held for a little more than five minutes, Seventh Fleet spokesman Cmdr. William Marks told Forbes.com.
Its a continuous pinging, with pings at one-second intervals, Marks said by phone from aboard the U.S.S. Blue Ridge. Our sonar can pick it, but its not audible to the human ear.
Marks says the pingers attached to the two separate black boxes a cockpit voice recorder and a separate flight data recorder each give out separate continuous signals until they run out of battery life, which by some estimates could be any day now.

................. I think we should keep our sub locations secret..we dont want the Chicoms knowing if they really did hear or ping them........................
Don’t worry! As soon as there’s any positive news, AF1 will be winging it’s way to Australia, (with the Mooch, spawns, TOTUS, maybe dogs aboard), to tell everything to the world how important a part that he played in finding the black boxes.
Then it’s vacation time in Australia!

No, just the only one still operational, in range, in the current search area in the Indian Ocean.
Wouldn’t you expect an emotion based suicide would be best performed in a short timeframe? What would be the point in going to such trouble and unrequired hours to hide the place it ditched?
If he was trying to make a political statement against Malaysia, why would he not crash it into Malaysia?
The SIMPLE explanation is the plane was highjacked, it flew around other Indian Ocean country’s radar and had sufficient fuel to easily get to Pakistan, who would be 100% sympathetic to the cause and would have the ability to hide the plane and dispose of the asphyxiated passengers.
The last 4 pingings have been within kilometers of each other:

The plane may be in one piece and may not have settled on the bottom but may still be floating around with the underwater currents a mile or so down.
And that may explain why there is no debris on the surface — it’s all still entombed in the aircraft.

prolly joos / s
people who commit suicide are not generally in a rational state of mind. If he crashed the plane into Malaysia then it would clearly be an act of terrorism and the pilot would be blamed. But if it simply disappeared without a trace it would be more embarrassing to the country than the pilot. The government would look totally inept which has happened. The only glitch was the acars system that the pilot didn’t fully understand would still send out a ping on occasion.
The data shows that the plane went south based on satellite analysis. They have detected the ping from the FDR or CVR, they will soon find the actual plane on the bottom of the ocean. Once they plane is found at the bottom of the ocean there will still be conspiracy theorists saying oh that was a replacement 777 and not the original, they “faked it”, the original is in pakistan, etc.
LOL parked next to the seven Boeing 777s that Paki Intl has already, right?
The key word in your theory is SOON.

And just how can you be so sure that a gay lesbian transsexual illegal alien Latina didn’t invent the U.S. Navys TPL-25 Towed Pinger Locator sonar?
I’m not so sure the pilot is a perp - I think the pilot ws the moaner on the open mic. And Malaysia was too quick to throw him under the bus while protecting good little boy co-pilot. Malaysian muslim politicians would love to pin an air disaster on the opposing ethno-political party and so far they’ve done a good job at planting the suspicion. Before the passengers were checked out, and well before the flight crew was checked out, Shah was already under the wheels. Which makes me look in the opposite direction.
My gut says it was the copilot, who was flying the 777 for the first time unsupervised and who was the star of a CNN docu the month prior. Attended a mosque daily, first story was he ‘was engaged’ second story was ‘he was about to be’ - nicely sanitized. And, he’s closer in age to the rest of the perps (including the disappearing 13th crew member) and more impressionable than a man of Shah’s age.

For heaven’s sake, they don’t have time for that type of thing.
They’re too busy protesting, being offended, and ordering “special” cakes.
.
This is coming from Perth, Australia.
The Aussies are towing the pinger locator that heard the sounds.
Wouldn’t the pressure crush the aircraft?
The plane is full of water, the pressure is equalized.
I don’t think so — the water would be seeping in as it sinks thus equalizing the pressure inside with the outside.
I’m just imagining all those floatable cushions in the fuselage wanting to get out and come up to the surface and unable to do so because they are trapped between the
water inside the compartment and the roof.
But who knows —
LOL! Excellent answer!
4/4 no flights in or out of DG for 72 hours. Hmmm.
