Estonia is a little nation of 1.3 million people, which was made a member of NATO in 2004. Estonia was once a province of the Soviet Union. It has a Russian minority that is 25 percent of the population, and Russia has vowed to protect ethnic Russians if they are subjected to mass violence by the Estonian majority.
Did NATO make a wise decision to bring in itty-bitty baltic nations that were once part of the Soviet Union? I can understand the importance of preventing the Soviet Union from being brought back into existence. But the lives of American troops are valuable, and should only be used to defend high value allies of the United States.
It would probably be cheaper to issue the Estonian’s immigration visas.
I support Miley’s right to join the military, go to the front lines, and get shot in the ass while she’s twerking.
There's the problem right there. Such a a president wouldn't need to threaten Russian cities, he would only need to threaten to fully defend our cities without fail, and promise to out produce Russia in every way.

Historically we do not join world wars until they’re at least two years old. So, no, we won’t go to war for Estonia, though we may eventually go to war for Germany (ironically enough).
Not only should we honor our NATO obligation to them,
imho we should invite Estonia to be the 51st state.
Or perhaps kick out Illinois and make Estonia the 50th state.

Indeed, why ‘would’ I put my life on the line to preserve this America? The country has become virtually the opposite of everything it once stood for, and antagonistic to every value once cherished.

We should either defend, or end NATO. Because the alliance is worthless unless every member is defended. It’s gotta be all or nothing. We need to make up our minds.

Just a reminder to those who may not recall, Estonia, small as it may be, stood side by side with the US in both Afghanistan and Iraq.
Let us hope the brave Poles will have more than horse cavalry this time. That sort of character should not go unsupplied.

Do you believe that a couple of dozen nukes falling in American cities is a price worth paying, in order to defend teeny-weeny Estonia? Or should NATO limit itself to defending high value NATO nations?

Why should size matter? Is Finland large enough? Sweden? Poland? Are you OK if we cede New Mexico to Mexico, but not California? OK if Russia invades “tiny” Alaska?
These people were enslaved by the Russians, and their ethnic Russians were installed there, given stolen property that has never been restored to the true owners. They Russians also happen to be the main source of crime, social problems, and socialist voting.
The President should announce that he’s sending 500,000 rifles, and 500,000,000 rounds of ammo, and offer any help to train the populace to provide an armed militia. Estonia is asking for US troops. Move a bunch there from Germany.
