Grave consequences such as “We’ll introduce a REALLY harshly worded resolution to the United Nations!”?

NATO is going to suck the US into a situation it can’t get out of. The founding fathers warned against entangling alliances like this one. Let Europe take care of Europe unless there is a compelling national interest!

Russians are running scared - sanctions do work. Limited air strike in case of further aggression will drive them to panic. For example, a 2-hour long operation could reduce their Black Sea fleet to a pile of rubble, with no significant losses on our side. This thought is slowly creeping into Russian boneheads.

If Vladimir Putin were cruel, he would long ago have cut off Russia’s gas supply lines to Ukraine, which also lead to Europe, and waited for both Ukraine and Europe to abjectly surrender to him.

However, all Putin has done so far is double the price of gas to Ukraine, allowing the Ukrainians to at least try to mount a defense against a potential Russian invasion.

And what has the West done? The Europeans have adamantly refused to make themselves energy independent, allowing their environmentalists to set Europe’s rules such as No Fracking Allowed. And the U.S. has helped create Russia’s current energy tyranny over Europe by allowing its own environmentalist to set OUR rules, such as not permitting exports of natural gas to Europe.

So who is being cruel? European and American politicians by bowing to their environmental lobbies for their own selfish political interests? Or Vladimir Putin for being made an energy tyrant thanks to Western governments’ malfeasance in not making their countries energy independent?

The events of the last 24 hours also, again, raise questions. We will need to see as more facts come to light. It seems strangely coincidental that these activities all took place in different parts of Ukraine on the same afternoon. There are reports on social media this morning about how “pro-Russian residents” of Kharkiv stormed the Opera, thinking that it was the town hall, and demanded that the mayor come out.

It’s very surprising that these so-called “residents” of Kharkiv would think that the Opera was the town hall.
