Residents of Saginaw County, Mich. could soon find themselves confronted by a behemoth best suited for the war-torn streets of Afghanistan. According to Sheriff William Federspiel, his department recently obtained a Mine Resistant Ambush Proof (MRAP) vehicle straight from the U.S. Army.

Even better.
Carl doubles down on it in post 37!
“ You were a mercenary and trade off of that fact with your screen name, and from that expect, (and this is the worst part)get attaboys for doing what you expected to be paid for. Nothing special at all.”
We’re mercenaries too!
Party at his place.
Pay from koch brothers to usual accounts. / kidding.
Koch brothers? Don’t you mean George Soros or Alex Jones?
Not certain with this clown, actually.
It might be bunnies for all I know.
Yeah, that $397 dollars a month sure bought a lot of bling.

Watch yourself! He’s the second oldest FReeper after the site owner.
Doesn’t matter.
Knock servicemen and servicemembers, openly state hatred for us, get the ire of the dragon.

(Openly stated hatred for the military is there..)
Even trying to read it strictly I have a hard time seeing it to mean surplused materiel rather than personnel.
Still it’s all about egos now, something that God explicitly will NOT bless. And really earnest crooks will probably find ways to hinder such equipment. Just out of spite. Smokey and some very evil bandits.
That was when our pay came from squirrels.
They’re notoriously cheap!
So you dislike us almost 25 million vets, you sound like quite a guy.
The last time I checked there were about 25 million of us veterans, not many of us are cops.
I chose this screen name because I am proud of my service in one of the nation's finest units, an outfit that guards our Korean allies from attack by communist forces. An outfit that rewarded my work with several medals for my superior service in keeping track of an entire frontline DPRK ("North Korean") Corps when I was 21. And that was just one assignment among many. What have you done that comes close to that?
Israel would have used different strategy.
Well golly! Don’t think I can heave ho an MRAP I guess I’ll just have to pick up some discounted RPG’s at the next gun show with my ‘gun show loophole’ card /s.
Story to go with photos.
” What have you done that comes close to that?”
For Carl, that’s easy: talk smack to servicemembers online, call us mercenaries, call us dog killers, state an open hatred for us, sneer at us, then run off like brave sir robin.
Perhaps he’d like to clarify his position?
Or maybe apologize for his inadvised broad brush smear.
Just because the vehicle survives with the cabin intact doesn’t mean the occupants have not been hurt. A HE blast will produce shock waves that can severely scramble the insides of a human body.
Military vehicles of another type, be they large or small trucks for example, DO HAVE a place in our cities, counties and states. The Wisconsin county I live in has been purchasing these “used” vehicles for specific purposes such as road building and repair, excavating and numerous other tasks which the vehicles have been specifically designed for. At the price of these so-called used (but almost brand new) vehicles, purchasing the equipment is MUST LESS COSTLY to the tax payers, thus saving money for other badly needed projects elsewhere.
MRAP’s are not unstoppable. You just need to know where to hit them.
Got a radiator too!
Putin has plenty of Heavy vehicles for his puppets. No need...
