Once the Lord used an enemy nation for chastisement, He would judge it as well and hold it accountable for it’s terrible acts. Russia is no different.

One might argue that Russia has already been judged by the collapse of the former Soviet Union and the aftermath of chaos, squalor and humiliation that followed for more than a decade afterward. Perhaps there's more to come, or perhaps the Russians have learned and have repented of their institutional moral sins (as evidenced by their pro-life and pro-family laws). On the other hand, America is a nation that refuses to repent and has yet to be judged.

Judgment plays out according to the Lord's will and timing. They do get those things right, but their motives are unclear. Are they against abortion because it is against the Lord's commands, or do they just want population growth? Are they against homosexuality because it is a sinful deviant lifestyle, or are they just smart enough to figure out where a hedonistic and sodomy promoting culture will eventually lead.

They have a power obsessed (former) KGB imperialistic egomaniac in leadership. Russia is in alliance with Assad and with Iran. So Russia currently is, and will be, under Genesis 12:3 as well.
