Mexico is not so poor. It is the 13th richest nation. They need better wealth distribution there instead of invading America.

Jeb Bush is staking out his position here, he is bold and stupid on immigration and he will not win the Republican nomination due to this and other factor.

IMHO Jeb Bush is being groomed for the job by the GOP and RNC. They may pair him with a more "conservative" candidate as a ploy to get votes.

There is an excellent graphic at this website showing exactly where in Mexico these American auto manufacturer plants are located.

Where are Mexico's vehicle assembly plants located?

There are more than 25 vehicle assembly plants in Mexico, manufacturing many brands of cars and trucks (see map). In addition, there are 1100 firms specializing in making parts for vehicles. .......

Car-makers building new assembly plants in Mexico

Mazda is building a new 500-million-dollar plant in Salamanca (Guanajuato) to assemble its best-selling Mazda2 and Mazda3 models. The Mazda3 is the Mazda’s top selling model in the USA. The Mazda plant, scheduled to open in 2013, will employ about 3,000 workers and produce 140,000 vehicles a year.

Honda, which currently has two manufacturing plants in El Salto (Jalisco), is to construct a third plant, in Celaya (Guanajuato). The new plant will produce the fuel-efficient Honda “Fit” for the North American market. Due to open in 2014, it represents an investment of 800 million dollars and will have the capacity to assemble 200,000 vehicles a year.

In a merit based, open opportunity culture Mexicans should be the wealthiest people on earth per capita. Their series of peonage based governments impoverishes the people, from pre-Columbian times until today.

“Mexico is not so poor. It is the 13th richest nation. They need better wealth distribution there instead of invading America.”

I didn’t know it was the 13th richest nation. Why is it the duty of the United States to serve as the safety net for Mexico. Why don’t our politicians ever call out Mexico, which is controlled by crooked politicians and drug cartels.

Mexicans should be allowed to defend themselves. If they could, there would be fewer who would feel the need to leave their native country.
