My accountant examining the records in a fraud case laughed and said of my business partner, “If he’s going to make up numbers somebody ought to tell him to always make it an odd number.” $37.19, for example.” So, they not only got their 7 million, they did slightly better and got 7.1 million. It should be easy enough to determine how many their really are. Eventually the real number will leak, hopefully in time for the 2014 elections.

As to keeping the Medicare number flat, that will be tantamount to killing the program as inflation is probably running 30%. For example, my post office box rate went from $74 last year to $94 this year. Gas hasn’t gone up much simply because there’s so much more of it this year. But I’m sure you’ve noticed food prices. So, keeping the Medicare rates the same will destroy the program.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who is skeptical about these "enrollment figures".

There is not a single statistic that comes out of this regime that can be relied upon. From the unemployment numbers to deportations, everything is skewed politically. The number of people who have actually completed the process and are paying their premiums is probably a lot closer to 1-2 million.

The Bureau of Labor and Statistics (BLS) should be renamed "BS." They don't "count" food or energy when figuring inflation. How convenient!

Anyone price chicken or coffee at their local supermarket these days? It would bet about the price equivalent to buying scallops and cognac in 2008.

In terms of our medical costs (which are breaking the back of this nation), we need to destroy the medical malpractice industry of vermin and vultures.

We have not - because the Democrats are bought and paid for by slime ball trial lawyers.

Great observation!

Destroying Medicare would be doing this country a huge favor. It is a massive, bloated entitlement program that simply cannot be sustained in a country with a demographic profile like ours.

When you see Republicans trying to "save" a monstrosity like this, you know the country isn't serious about facing these problems head-on.
