We have Easter Blessings and God’s grace to report today! The last 2 days, Dr. O has been making remarkable progress! Got word from onyx this morning that started out: “No cancer, no cancer, no cancer and you can quote me on that”!!
Tuesday they drained off the toxic fluid build up in his belly and that is when things started to improve. Last night they did a gastrointestinal dye test, which must have come back hopeful, because they are finally putting him back on liquid food today. She will learn more about results today. He has been lucid for several days now and he has been complaining to them that he is hungry, ‘dang it’! Yet another blessing. He is off the face mask oxygen and numbers there are improving too.
Onyx and Dr.O’s precious granddaughter is there now, so that is another blessing for our sweet onyx. She will be a great comfort and help.
This has been a roller coaster ride for them both...full of ups and downs and the FReeper prayers have been greatly appreciated and humbling for them. Thank you all so very much. Keep them coming!

I can barely believe this, but he just has one more test to pass tomorrow morning: a scope of some sort that goes down his throat to see what’s causing the slight bleeding, and then he will get to go to a regular room to start Physical Therapy to get to come HOME! What? Oh yeah!
This is all due to YOUR PRAYERS, his team of awesome, caring doctors and nurses and His merciful love and grace, and I think Taylor’s arrival here.
DrO’s turn around is nothing short of miraculous! Just a few short days ago, he was literally at death’s door, and I was in tears telling our doctor I wanted to trade places with him, because DrO is the much better person than me ... Well, our good Lord, sure made me buck up, too. This was no time for any of that. I’m good and strong now and thank God for Taylor being here with me. She is a rock. DrO told her she has better get back to thinking about going to medical school AGAIN.
So far today, he’s enjoyed his liquid breakfast and lunch of juice, broth, jello and popsicles. We’re heading back to the hospital now and we’ll be staying till 9:00PM.
