My beloved, cherished DrO passed from my arms into our Lord and Savior’s this morning at the exact time I was born 68 years ago. I got my birthday wish that he passed in complete peace on this date without any pain and without gasping for breath and right after I had recited our Lord’s Prayer and told him it was all right for him to leave me now that I would be strong and carry on like he wants me to. Everyone else had left the room and I know he waited for that.

Thank you all for your love and support and your continuous faithful prayers. One of Walt’s last statements was that “It’s all in God’s hands” and God truly came magnificently through like only He can do.

Yes, I’m brokenhearted and so very sad, but I got everything at the end that I prayed for. God’s Amazing Grace. I’ll be a better person now. I made that promise to God, so it’s one I have to keep. I hope you all will help me keep it.

Onyx, I am so very sorry to hear of DrO's passing. I'm glad that his passing was peaceful, and that you were holding him when his soul left this earth. He is now with our Lord, but he will always be watching over you, and I'm sure Free Republic.

You mentioned that DrO passed on your birthday today. My sister Nancy who had been in hospice care for three months, died on her 69th birthday in 2011. We believed then, and still do, that she held out until her birthday, so she wouldn't be younger than our mother was when she died at age 69.

You are, and will be in my thoughts and prayers.
