Appearing on Fusion's "AMERICA with Jorge Ramos" Thursday night, HBO's “Real Time” host Bill Maher slammed "insane" Republicans for what he perceives as a sick love of guns.
“Of course, I think the Republicans are insane about guns, because they love guns, which is a sick position to have in the first place, to love something like a gun? I don’t love my gun, I have it the way I have, you know, antibiotics. It’s not something I love, it’s something in case of an emergency that I might have to use.”

No, Bill Maher, it is you who are sick to be so obsessively seeking to steal other people’s means of self-defense (and not incidentally, a major concern of the Founders of our Republic was that the citizens retain their right to keep and bear arms as a means of deterring another King George-like tyranny from arising in the new Republic -— look around today and think about it, Bill.... all those guns out there are perhaps the very last line of defense against Washington DC turning YOU into a slave in a penal colony, or Soylent Geen perhaps? Ridiculous, well...maybe so. But maybe not. Maybe today. Maybe later in your lifetime. Either way, you should consider getting yourself a couple guns, too... just in case....They certainly won’t do you any harm, and they won’t do anybody else any harm either if you store them safely like most gun owners try to do...)

First of all, he makes no sense and never has. Second, he’s short and ugly and always will be.
They believe that killing babies is a gift from god. The book of Enoch says that a fallen angel taught abortion to humans so I guess if their god is satan they are correct.

I love my guns like I love my table saw.
People love their cars, houses, a particular painting or worked piece of glass.
There is nothing wrong with an emotional response to the work and genius that somebody puts into a physical object. Some how the liberals get to say it is okay to appreciate something they like but sick to like something they hate.
I don’t want to give them that power.
I like them in the same way I admire any piece of engineering and manufacturing perfection.
Harley, Cars, etc. It’s a nice tool and machine.
But guns NEED love, doncha know. The care, feeding, and grooming of rifles, shotguns and pistols are what keeps them domesticated, and without that daily doting attention, the devices are very apt to go feral, and rush about just randomly discharging at passers-by, maiming and killing total and unsuspecting innocents.
All with no participation by their forgetful and negligent owners, in keeping them properly restrained and behaving in a predictable and orderly manner.
And if that is insane and sick, well, (koff, koff), the moon is really made of pale cheese.

While the Constitution says nothing explicitly about the right
to government sponsored healthcare it does give us the
right to ‘keep and bear arms’. So, where is my free “govergun”?
Let me lay it down for you, Maher. There is a group of people
who like guns for protection, a group of people who like to
hunt various game, some folks enjoy target competition, and
some who are interested in all of these things. Many, but not
all of these people are in the Republican camp. On the other
hand there are a few Democrats who enjoy guns for the same
reasons as Republicans. Many others think guns should be
banned to one degree or another. There is also a small dingbat
group who are willing to give up their weapons if everyone
will only give up theirs.
Leftists are mentally ill because they hate our guns. Yes, people love their guns, and their art, their cars and guitars, and other objects, like their computers, TVs, whatever. Mechanics love their tools, and gardeners their hoes. It’s the people who hate material objects who tend to slip into irrationality. The left is fanatic in its hatred of things, guns, light bulbs, knives.... They even extend their hate to the image of the things they hate, like pictures of guns, or toy guns. It’s completely insane.
Though I’ve gone utilitarian by virtue of bad experience, I have a love for fine looking, well scoped bolt rifles. They are the perfect coalescence of mechanics and art, an expression of beauty in the universe by mere mortals. The same can be said for well crafted handguns. But, firearms are not pictures hanging on a wall. They can feed a hungry family, and stop vicious criminals in their tracks. They empower the people who bear them, giving people responsibility for the safety of their families, neighbors and countries.
Leftist hate anything that empowers ordinary citizens, because it takes away from the omnipotence of their government god. That hate makes them stupidly insane.
