Romney hired a landscape contractor...who hired illegals.

and when Willard was told there were illegal aliens working at the MASS gov mansion being paid by the MASS taxpayers, he didn’t fire the “landscape contractor” or tell him to fire the illegal aliens but he kept on hiring them..KNOWING they were illegal aliens..

This is what I mean about excuses made and history being rewritten.
Like I said, I'm NOT a Romney supporter. But it would be helpful for me in future debate if you could cite a reference for the above...you, know, help a brother out!

I don't think it was that simple. From the NY Daily News:
RICK PERRY: "Mitt, you lose all of your standing, from my perspective, because you hired illegals in your home and you knew about it for a year. And the idea that you stand here before us and talk about that you're strong on immigration is on its face the height of hypocrisy."Bottom line is that unless Romney decides to become a part-time DHS vigilante, there's not much he can do about the hiring practices of landscape contractors. Note that I'm not even a Romney fan, and I view Cruz as the least of all evils. Why give this dirty laundry an airing? Because it is important to know not just the things we like about the GOP slate, but the bad things as well, before we commit time and money to their candidacies.
MITT ROMNEY: "I don't think I've ever hired an illegal in my life."
THE FACTS: The truth is that Romney, former Massachusetts governor, never directly hired an illegal immigrant. But he hired a landscaping company that employed them.
In bringing up the matter, Texas Gov. Perry resurrected a charge that has dogged Romney since his last presidential bid. In 2006, Romney learned that the landscaper of his suburban Boston home had employed illegal immigrants. He gave the company a second chance under the condition that it would no longer employ undocumented workers.
But in 2007, during the height of his first Republican presidential campaign, the same company was caught employing illegal immigrants at Romney's home. Romney then fired the landscaper.
At the time, and again Tuesday night, Romney said there's only so much an individual can do when hiring a legitimate company.
