House Budget Committee Chairman Paul Ryan said he rejects the premise that President Barack Obamas healthcare law cant be repealed now that its first class of 7 million enrollees has signed up.
I dont think it can last, Ryan said in an interview with Bloomberg Television to air on Political Capital with Al Hunt this weekend.
Ryan this week unveiled a budget plan that seeks to repeal the 2010 law known as Obamacare and would revise the U.S. safety net in an effort to eliminate the deficit in 10 years. The House will vote on the plan next week. House Democrats will release their alternative as soon as Monday, April 7.
The Republican budget proposal will serve as a contrast with Democrats fiscal priorities before the U.S. midterm election on Nov. 4. Senate Democratic leaders have said they plan to tie House members vying for Senate seats in Colorado, Montana and Louisiana to Ryans proposal.
This is the fourth year weve passed a budget like this, fourth year weve said heres how we plan on balancing the budget and paying off the debt, Ryan said.
Ryan and Senate Budget Committee Chairman Patty Murray agreed in December on a two-year budget deal that sets top-line spending at $1.014 trillion for the 2015 fiscal year that starts Oct. 1. As such, Republicans dont have to prepare a budget, Ryan said, though we think we should say what we believe in if we dont like the direction the countrys headed.

Its not even a budget, its a nonbinding 10 year resolution that is meaningless.
And he brags that he passed it 4X, once per year ...????
This guy assures me that the R party is doomed long term. Our best and brightest....
He is perfectly happy and satisfied with this I think
"I am EXEMPT and will have prosperity.
The rest of you? Not so much."
I love your USSR point, perfect response
I predict on this path with the republican quislings we have in office we will be in CWII in 2 years or less.
One Congress cannot bind future Congress' on any budget agreement, period.
Paul Ryan must think we're all too stupid to know better.
Paul Ryan is one of my pet peeves because I was alone here three years ago in 2011 calling him out and everyone here either thought I was DU or just nuts when I did it.
Paul Ryan was created by GOPe to be their staged conservative hero, completely controlled by the party but portrayed as the conservative Lionheart.
Rush, Levin, Hannity and even Palin all joined in praising his 10 medicare reform scam in his phony nonbinding 10 year budget resolutions.
They told us what to say:
(’He balances the budget in only 10 years and its a lie that ANYONE loses any medicare benefits to do it’)
But now its cool to diss it. They all do now.
Bump
There not budgets, they are 10 year symbolic nonbinding resolutions never meant to see law, and never will.
All four of them
He was asked about this scam a year or two ago and he replied :”Its a moral document”
Its a con.
I don’t know if you were alone, but I’m pretty sure when these ridiculous proposals of cutting x amount from the budget over a period of a decade drew criticisms from me. We need a Balanced Budget Amendment now.
ubamacare will “collapse under its own weight” in much the same way that cancer does.
And what exactly does collapsing under its own weight look like, Paul?
Is it going to take our economy with it, Paul?
Is it going to cause people who are now forced to depend on to die because they can’t get treatment, Paul?
Are you such a sniveling, little chickenshit that you are willing to take such risks in order to avoid getting your hands dirty, Paul?
You are a disgusting human being, Paul, and I want you to know that my vote for you is the vote that I regret most in my life.
I regret it even more than my vote for John Stinking Traitor McCain, Paul.
*spits on the ground in utter disgust*
Back in Spring 2011 Ryan comes out with his medicare reform plan that says we will restore funding to medicare now(more $$$), but 10 years from now everyone who retires after that date will get a government issued discount coupon to give to doctor, hospital or cancer treatment center (10 years from passage).
Those who retired even the day before that day 10 year from now get on the full $$$ gravy train, current medicare benefits, they won the age lottery..
Ryan: 'We have to because its going broke and it wont be there in 10 years unless we don't get rid of it in exactly 10 years for new people retiring.
Immediately I started posting 'wtf is this? No one will buy this sh.t.'
And they didn't. It was stupid.
But we were supposed to repeat it like it made sense.
Democrats have the votes to keep Obamacare... they created it with NOT ONE Republican vote.
What do you expect us to do?
If we vote democrats OUT OF OFFICE -then we can make changes... until then there’s nothing we can do except provide cover for democrats...
He has a right to think there are a lot of stupid people out here. Lots of us voted for him.

I was pointing out that this scam wouldn't sell to Americans and that a real plan would have to start now not in 10 years.
And Ryan’s budget is a joke. Out of control spending now, with the
promise of cuts 10 years down the road. What a farce.
As long as we’ve got a Federal Reserve bank that can buy up government debt at will, and manipulate interest rates to zero - Obamacare will never collapse, no matter how expensive it is.
The US government runs scores of social-engineering, central-planning projects - what’s one more?
Yep, but how come so many here only caught in to that so recently??

I don’t understand your comment. This is part of the OP: “Ryan this week unveiled a budget plan that seeks to repeal the 2010 law known as Obamacare.”
So, you’re in favor of *keeping* Obamacare?
