Do they know what freedom brings with it?.... Had they really known would they have succumbed to a violent coup and allowed their revolution to be taken over by outsiders as they did? ....They were 'not prepared'...the orange revolution taught them little.

Freedom brings with it responsibility and to think things through...plan and organize the aftermath...it is not enough to raise your voice.....Ukrainians once again left wide open huge gaps for others more powerful to rush in and take hold, and they did and they have....they "depended" on outsiders to foot the bill without understanding that freedom is not free...they would have to pay the piper.

Now they continue to play the victim.....I won't buy that anymore...they've had so many opportunites and derailed them along the way....and frankly 'The majority', as you say,..... depends on which side of the country you're looking at and which poll you choose to view.

As I've stated before, Ukraine is not a united country, it's been divided for years and years and until they accept that both sides must be represented in their governance, and that winning elections doesn;t mean you rule or be unjust to the other side...they cannot know the freedom they seek.

The choices they have made is not for freedom, but if or not Russia will have more say or the EU/US. They will end up as in the past....both will be appeased for sake of survival...and the battles will continue....within and without.

The only people denying Ukraine the freedom they seek are the Ukrainians.....as long as they have their hands in outsiders pockets they will owe...and bend to those they put over themselves.

No different than now the once great USA, I'm surprised there hasn't been a stand her!

Not sure where you get your news but a lot of what you wrote is nonsense. My family participated at the Maidan, my uncle and his family live in Kyiv and were among the many average Ukrainians who were simply fed up. They protested peacefully until Yanukovych started in with his brutal repressive tactics, assaulting journalists then unleashing secret police on the crowds, people were left with no choice but to fight back.

As far as the rest it seems like you are buying into a lot of the Russian propaganda which has been disseminated quite efficiently here,as well.

The “outsiders” in this situation are on the Russian side, the true fascists and Nazi’s in Europe all fully support Russia in this matter.

In the end, the Ukrainian people deserve the chance to settle these things for themselves, democracy is not always neat, but people are doing their best and Putin is trying to consolidate his power ahead of any elections which might legitimize the new government.
