Oprah Winfrey’s OWN cable network is developing a two-part miniseries chronicling one of the ugliest and least-known chapters in U.S. history.
In Tulsa, Academy Award-winning actress Octavia Spencer (The Help) plays a journalist who investigates the 1921 Oklahoma race riots, where an estimated 300 people were believed to have been murdered amid post-WWI racial tension surrounding segregation laws and the prosperous black community of Greenwood. According to a 2011 New York Times story on the subject, “The Tulsa race riot of 1921 was rarely mentioned in history books, classrooms or even in private…an episode so brutal that this city, in a bout of collective amnesia that extended more than a half-century, simply chose to forget it ever happened.”
The announcement came as part of OWN’s Thursday upfront, revealing the net’s next slate of programming — which also included the network’s first scripted movie, My Name is Love: The Darlene Love Story. The period biopic will star Toni Braxton....

I wonder the same thing. With all the problems in the black community, why is she trying to dredge up crap from the past instead of looking for ways to solve the problems that exist now and change the future? She sure has turned into a run of the mill race baiter.
Will she be demanding the whites in the audience stand up and apologize for slavery at the end like she did during her episode on Jefferson and Hemings?

The rise of both Obummer and Orca hinged on their magical ability to appeal to the widespread need among whites for highly visible black leaders seeming utterly devoid of anti-white grievances.
Yet beyond some threshold point of success the ability of both to keep the succes$ ball rolling instead depended on openly guilting whites as part of a Grievance Elite.

Hey Oprah - how about grinding the salt of the knockout game into a wound for the next 80 years? In the year 2094 we'll be making movies about white people being beat up by roving black gangs... celebrating 2014... Even if that type of crime stopped existing years before. Would YOU Oprah be charmed?
We 'get' the liberal message ... it's sick. (that said, I'm sorry democrats in the south did horrible things to black people... in today's world Democrats use the same tactics against the Tea Party... and we hear deafening silence from your side...
We can quibble over the numbers bu this did happen. But you know what? Do you know who did it? Organized it? DEMOCRATS and their terrorist arm, the KKK. This horrible incident is yet another example of how the Democrats have always been the Party of Race. Prior to the 1960s, they brutally supressed the black vote and won white votes with white supremacy and terrorizing blacks. Now they have flipped.
I am fine with Oaf-rah doing a miniseries on this. But I am sure she will whitewash the Democrat angle on it.
It seems then, that the question is “who’s lynching who?”
Warren G. Harding was the President at the time, hardly a 'Rat. Tulsa's mayor was Republican T. D. Evan. The reality is that a radical Negro leftist, J.B. Stradford encouraged the riot. What the 'Rats and their terrorist soldiers did is well documented and is part of the legacy of the liberals.
But in the case of the Greenwood riots, it was the 1921 version of the knockout game of black on white violence. See my post, #19, in this thread for the truth about the riot...the unvarnished truth brushed aside by Orpha and the state-run, drive-by, lamestream media.

That’s just not true. The disparity is pretty large (about 8,500 whites are killed by blacks each year, compared to around 4,500 blacks killed by whites), but not nearly as large as the disparity you suggest. made up stats like the one you posted just make you look foolish.

Incorrect. FBI crime stats show that about 50% of ALL crime victims are black, and 91-92% of those, perennially, are murdered by black attackers, usually YBM's being murdered by other YBM's.
Of the 50% of non-black murder victims, (Hispanic and white being lumped together, since treating "Hispanic" as an ethnos presents its own problems: most of the Hispanic residents of Miami's Alapattah district are black Cubans), about half are killed by other non-blacks, 24% by blacks, and 25% by "unknown": the FBI's stratagem, in the 90's, for dodging the fact that the "unknown" murderers were black (this was during the Clinton Administration, mind).
In the 90's, 6000 non-blacks per year were being murdered by blacks. But Cynthia McKinney grieved openly in the Atlanta Urinal-Constipation over the 4700 blacks lynched from 1866 to 1962.
