Michigan's Senate race remains statistically tied, according to a new poll from GOP pollster Marketing Resource Group.

Former Michigan Secretary of State Terri Lynn Land (R) leads Rep. Gary Peters (D-Mich.) by 40 percent to 38 percent, according to the poll. The two have been in a dead heat in nearly every public poll of the race so far.
Peters is up with his first ads of the election cycle, while GOP outside groups have hammered him hard on the airwaves. Democrats have begun airing attacks against Land as well.
The live-caller poll of 600 likely Michigan voters was conducted from March 24-28 and has a margin of error of plus or minus 4.1 percent.

Land is known for being relatively non partisan “pothole fixer”. That is she is there to do her job which is to try to make govt. work correctly.
She has real chance to win.

I think she can win too. She’s no conservative warrior but she’s decent enough and she did a good job as Sec. of State. I see her around town a lot and she’s always kind to me.

Oh, I’m sure at the end of the day the rats will find a trunk full of ballots somewhere.

Some will screech and scream about that but if she just does the job in a straightforward manner, she'll be fine. She and SOS Ruth Johnson are a lot alike in the respect.

Sounds like the description of an actual Public Servant.

Exactly and it has its advantages in the sense that it builds respect from democrats. After all, it was the Democrat prosecutor of Oakland county who alerted Ruth Johnson and Bill Schutte to the fake tea party scam of 2010 and prosecuted the democrats behind it. In return, Johnson and Shcutte have vigorously protected democrats from fraud within their own parties.

I haven’t seen any ads against land. Just the devastating anti Obamacare/Peters ads.

Peters seems to have all the traits of 0. He ran as a hay farmer before - he’s the part that makes it manure.

I havent seen any ads against land. I've only seen one, and I've seen it a few times (just last night in fact). Don't trust Land, she's in the pocket of the billionaire boys, she wants poor people to die in the streets, blah blah blah.

One thing to her advantage: Many Democrats do NOT vote in mid-term elections. The Detroit population, and number of voters, is dwindling daily anyhow. When “Black Detroit” totally fades into obscurity and the UAW becomes weaker than watered down coffee, the GOP should control that state from then on.

(Rand Paul, Rick Perry endorsed McConnell over Bevin. Neither will ever get my vote in 2016.)
