A South Korean newspaper has reported that the North Korean regime of Kim Jong-un will execute 200 high-ranking government officials believed to be loyal to Jang Song-thaek, Kim's once-powerful uncle who was shockingly deposed and executed last December.
The Chosun Ilbo reported the pending executions Tuesday, citing a source who said that North Korea's State Security Department had conducted a sweep to root out Jang's remaining supporters in the government. Under Pyongyang's brutal "guilty blood" system of criminal sentencing, the Chosun Ilbo's source told the paper that up to 1,000 more people, all family members of the condemned, could be sent to North Korea's infamous prison camps.

If you want to play politics in a dictatorship, you had better pick wisely.
Why does’t someone grease this midevil troll?
Absolute power corrupts absolutely.
Liberal justice. Coming soon to a dictatorship near you. Heck, they have already said that they want to jail or execute those of us who don’t believe in man made global warming.
This guy is worse than his father and grandfather combined..
This does look like a Caligula in the palace moment might be coming soon. If it does it will take a blood bath to remove Fat Boy’s loyalists and a very dangerous time for everyone South of the parallel, including our trip wire boys and girls.
Equivalent Liberal Headline: N. Korea - Model for Smaller Government.
Crazier than Daddy!
That’s one way to reduce the size of government. This Kim may be the worst yet.
200 executions of “officials” here though a good start wouldn’t even put a dent in all the “officials” who needs executing.
Kim's idea of term limits?
It should be noted that this is an ancient Korean tradition, as indeed is government by a God-King, exclusion of foreigners, society oriented to the military, etc. Korean history is loaded with court faction fights, with the losers and their (very) extended families and supporters executed, sometimes in the tens of thousands.
One of these faction fights is shown in the interesting Korean movie War of the Arrows.
IOW, Nork society has a LOT more in common with Korean tradition and history than it does with anything that can logically be called Communism. Present South Korean society is the oddball historically, not the North.
Obama and GOPe are more worried about the Tea Party than North Korea.
Old saying—still true. “When you strike the king, you must strike to kill.”
Was Breitbart's recent death a political hit?
Caligula
My thoughts exactly!
Well, that won't send a tingle up Chrissy's leg, would it?
