There is a fierce battle brewing between three sects of a divided Republican Party. The Rand Paul libertarians and the Ted Cruz social conservatives are drumming up support for what could be a bloody competition to rule the roost of 2016. In the safe middle is the establishmentarian moderates and the elites of the Republican Party, like Chris Christie and Marco Rubio. The most watched and most important battle, however, will be the battle between the GOP's two rights the battle between Paul and Cruz.
In an interview with Vocativ, Rand Paul spoke of a Republican Party that requires a softer approach to social issues. In 2012, when Ted Cruz won his senate seat in Texas, the Washington Post likened him to a socially conservative crusader. What both men have in common is their strong commitment to the US Constitution and their strong support from within the Tea Party.

I love them both along with Palin but idiots know that Cruz is out. He is disqualified under the Constitution as NOT being born within the confines of USA borders or in the statutorily permitted US bases or territories. I love him to death but he is in the same boat as obama if that jack ass was born in Kenya. We all know that.
So its Senator Paul— don’t waste any more energy on Cruz.
Keep the focus on Obama and his failed policies. This is a sidebar issue that the elites want conservatives to engage in.
I voted for Paul, and still consider him a pretty good Senator, certainly the best one we have in KY.
But of late he is bothering me with talk that seriously smacks of amnesty for ILLEGALS.
That is the one thing which will make me a single issue voter.
Regardless of an elected official’s views on different subjects, natural born American citizens should always come first. Especially over criminal intruders. What is so damn hard for these clowns to comprehend about that??
Shamnesty Paul is DOA,
If Paul pushes amnesty, as the GOPe candidate, he’ll get less votes than Bob Dole did.
So if a US citizen living in London on a job has his pregnant US citizen wife join him for a week and she goes into early labor and produces a child, that child is NOT a US citizen?
Open borders turd like his father, versus Cruz?
Maybe Rand should be seeking a position in the United Nations where his utter bullcrap fits in or just go ahead and join the Democrats where the bulk of his positions fit in.
Basically he is a liberal who doesn’t want to pay high taxes.
Oh you birthers just crack me up.. ....LOLO
Meow, catfight!
It is not a question of “Citizen”. It is a question of being within the confines of US borders. Trust me.
Speaking of idiots, ever hear of John McCain, or George McGovern?
Cruz is an American and fully qualified to be president.
I don’t trust you. I trust the Constitution. My little brother is retired from the Air Force and I was describing him in my post.
He’s 100% legally qualified to run for president.
Cruz/Paul would be a good ticket in 2016.
I wonder, just speculation mind you, if some libertarians are becoming birthers because the opponent is the socially conservative Cruz. I wonder if they might find another argument if the opponent was the socially conservative Palin, Pence, Santorum, or Jindal.
I doubt if they are actually real birthers. I think that they may just be birthers of convenience.
Just speculation, mind you.
The elites are determined to take out Cruz, Paul and the elites are on the same team.
Why should you be trusted when you're dead wrong?
I’m sure he was, if he was born on U.S. soil or territory. Please spare yourself further embarrassment by reading ,at least, Wikipedia ( be sure to read it all!!). Cruz for cabinet!!! So much ignorance here. I’m surprised.
Please educate yourself beyond emotion.
Cruz or Paul OK with me. After 2 elections of an ineligible candidate who may in fact be an illegal alien or just an alien I don’t care if Cruz was born on the planet Uranus. :-)
