The Tonight Show will have a special guest on tonights show: Sarah Palin. The shows Twitter account made the announcement Wednesday afternoon, saying the former Alaska governor will be stopping by the show to do something fun with host Jimmy Fallon.

12:58 PM - 2 Apr 2014
The scheduled guests for Wednesday nights show are Denis Leary, Cat Deeley along with musical guest Nickel Creek. It appears unlikely that Palin will sit down with Fallon for an interview, but perhaps will join him for some type of sketch to promote her new reality series Amazing America, which premieres tomorrow night on the Sportsman Channel.
Stay tuned for Mediaites coverage of Palins appearance.

I think they tape around 5pm. I was under the impression she had already taped it when they made the announcement.

The skit was hilarious (Vlad calls Sarah about 2008). Sarah was perfect. Jimmy even plugged Sarah’s new series that starts tomorrow on The Sportsman Channel, afterwards. All in all....it was a great spotlight for Sarah.

I doubt Jay Leno returns to TV. He spends lots of time on the road and always has. He has worked seventy hours a week since he go the Tonight Show and during the entire time he has never spent ANY of is TV money. He has always lived on his comedy show earnings. He must have at least a couple hundred million saved.
He is also in his mid sixties. He went out on top whether by his own design or the networks. The time for him to jump was when Conan took over.

Maybe it is my age or that I watched it when it was broadcast but Steve Allen's "Tonight Show"
was the best hands down--
Check out a sample of the show from February 9, 1958, with "This Could Be the Start of Something" all in one take!

Thanks. I'm always pulling for Sarah on this kind of TV adventure, like one would for a younger sister going on TV. The quality of scripts may vary but her delivery is always spot on.
On last night's Tonight Show, she delivered a fine performance that will not come back to haunt her. I was pleased.

Sorry to hear this. I loathe the trend of politicians on comedy shows. Another crappy gift of Bubba Clintoon.

Perhaps you meant to say Richard Nixon. You can look it up.
Think ‘sock it to me’, unless you are too young to remember anything before the Clinton administration.

Touring to support their new recording (I almost wrote album).
Chris Thile is a superb mandolin player, but please, Chris, don’t sing. JMO.

Not a Fallon fan by any stretch, but I did watch the skit to see Sarah Palin...
The crowd response was much warmer to her than expected from the hipster crowd Fallon attracts...
She did a great job, IMHO...
Thumbs up for Sarah Palin...

Thanks. I’ll definitely catch them when they are in my area. Sarah Watkins is the real deal. Okay by me is Chris Thile also sings.
