Benghazi critics hit lobbying firm
Revolving door from public to private sector
Government watchdogs and a veteran congressman are sharply criticizing a bipartisan consulting firm formed by a trio of former Obama administration insiders and the former staff director of the House Intelligence Committee, whose Republican chairman opposes a select committee in the deadly September 2012 attack on the U.S. diplomatic outpost in Benghazi.
J. Michael Allen resigned from the committee in August to join Beacon Global Strategies with Phillipe Reines, spokesman for former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton; former Assistant Secretary of State Andrew Shapiro; and Jeremy Bash, chief of staff to former CIA director and Defense Secretary Leon E. Panetta.
The firm will specialize in foreign affairs, national defense and homeland security. Mr. Panetta, a Clinton ally, is its first client.
Getting testy..
GO! Ms Bachmann!
“Book em, Dano!”
I didn’t know about this...
Rogers’ wife, Kristi Clemens Rogers, was, until recently, the president and CEO of Aegis LLC a “security” defense contractor company, whom she helped to secure a $10 billion (with a b) contract with the State Department.
The congressmans office confirmed Friday that his wife had recently changed jobs to become managing director and CEO of Aspen Healthcare Services.
It's not a question of 'who's afraid - or who can 'force' others. That's democrat-type thinking. It's offensive. It's the way bullies and thugs think... it's 'democrat'.
I'm stunned Starboard that you would see the tactics of the bully as a good thing...
Remember, we're not the totalitarian shits and liars - democrats are...
Michelle cut through all the crap.
BRAVA, Michelle!
Yes - under oath. As if......
I got this!
Morell starting to get smart-assy now with Bachmann
She is NOT backing down ......
Bachmann got the best of him!
maybe he should talk to “Judge Judy” — “If you tell the truth, you don’t need to have a good memory.”
I could feel Morrel about to say ‘are you calling me a liar?’ when Michelle rightfully called him a liar.
He acts just like Hillary.
Maggie: Thanks for ping & excellent post....watching & taping (Fox...too many cut-aways). Please ping me if C-span announces a schedule tonight for airing this hearing.
The putrid stench of Dem corruption sears the nostrils of conscious Americans like a mountain of rotting flesh.
Your post deserves a thread of its own. Catherine Herridge did a blistering report on BGS. When I saw her video report below, I wanted to post a thread, but, so regrettably, too little available time these days for FR. I hope you find time and inclination to post a deserved thread on BGS. It appears BGS was founded to reward “long-suffering” Benghazi Dems who needed a place to land.
More here from the link (but watch video also). It didn’t get enough coverage:
The Fox News report by Catherine Herridge notes that ***one month*** after Allen interviewed Morell about the Benghazi attack in May 2013, Beacon approached him to hire him. Allen was then one of the most senior GOP officials on the issue and Morell the deputy director at the CIA.....
J. Michael Allen is the founder and managing director of Beacon Global Strategies. He previously served as the staff director for the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, chaired by GOP Rep. Mike Rogers of Michigan and perhaps the most important panel investigating Benghazi.
Allen’s new business partners at Beacon include:
Philippe Reines, a dyed-in-the-wool Clinton hatchet man who worked for Clinton from 2002 until founding Beacon
Andrew Shapiro, a former top State Department official (under Clinton) and senior policy adviser to Clinton
Josh Kirshner, a former top State Department official under Clinton who also worked for her as a Senate aide in 2006
Ashley Woolheater, who previously led a team responsible for crafting and executing the strategic media goals of Secretary of State Hillary Clinton at the State Department
Jeremy Bash, a former chief of staff to Leon Panetta at the Defense Department and CIA under President Obama
Julianne Smith, a former top aide to Vice President Joe Biden
Sarah Davey, a former aide to Michelle Obama who helped craft the Let’s Move! initiative
Meredith Steen, a low-level Democratic aide who interned for Democrat James Moran
PS: Greetings Ad-guy. Hope you are well. Missing you and the other ever-witty freepers on the Levin thread.
Me too. Where is that coming from? Who made it popular? It's a relatively new thing.
