If the Yellowstone Caldera blows, we’re not that far away. If it does, it’s been nice knowing all you FReepers.

It ususally erupts every 60,000 years. It has now been 64,000 years.

The last three Yellowstone eruptions have been roughly 600,000 years apart - not 60,000.

If it erupts in the next year, it won’t be early; if it erupts 10,000 years from now, it won’t be late.

Every 600,000 years...and it has been 640,000 years. Off by a factor of 10 years. We're still 40,000 years late. I'm 150 miles from Yellowstone (SW).
