Prosecuting these killers is going to be hard if not impossible, but posting their photos, names, and other relevant information in a criminal filing with Interpol, and the posting it on the internet, can add a little warning that they will be targeted by revenge shooters.

If you don’t think that this hasn’t happened in the past, wake up. I knew one British commando who, with some fellow soldiers, did some justice killings of Nazi War Criminals (SS/Gestapo, etc). who had escaped justice at the end of the war.

Only our weak commanders in Belgium and military judges/prosecutors of the Malmedy massacre killers, allowed all of them to get away with mass murder. Sentences ranged only up to 9 years for SS Commander Seip Detrick and the others who carried out the shootings of over 150 American POWS, including Medical staff, and two mass murders of Belgian and American captives nearby.

That is why some “rogue” groups of former servicemen, after the war, took matters into their own hands. One reported group was named “Der Strycker”. You won’t find any mention of them in the history books, unclassified US military or OSS/CIA files. Long story but one historian was working on finding out about them. He hit so many stone walls that he suffered head concussions. Don’t think he published much on the subject.

Some Frenchmen killed major French collaborators with the Nazis, and some Israeli/Palestinian Jews also went out as “Nazi Hunters”. The whole story has never been told, and I doubt if it will be told for the next 50 years.

I suspect that there are many more stories about “revenge” killings out there from WW2 on up to the Balkans today. However, you won’t read about them in the newspapers.

Oh, by the way, word on the street was that the two East German guards who shot and killed escapee Peter Fechter (trying to cross a no-man’s land to W. Berlin), were themselves shot and killed by an unknown sniper, possibly in their guard tower. Just a “story” but an interesting one.

Welcome to the real world of terrorism, one that Obama and his cronies know nothing about. It has happened right in Washington and nearby Maryland suburbs. The communists and jihadists will kill whoever they want to. So far only the Israelis have the guts to go after these killers and take them out. America long ago gave up on “long arm justice” with the exception of drones being used against Al Qaeda groups (Somalia, Yemen, Pakistan and Afghanistan. However, these are more military tactical decisions than Obama showing any guts).

Just a little historical perspective on deliberate murder.

Yes, Russians are genetically evil. Clearly, they should be exterminated to make the world safe for gay marriage.

I do not see Putin as strong.

Yes, I agree. Also cowardly. The type that understands force only.

Last point first, the Soviet mind is an asiatic mind, so there is no surprise that the Muslim goons and the Soviet goons think and work the same.

I can see pro-Russian protesters shooting anti-Russian protesters as well as the opposite happening

That no one is denying. The allegation made up by Russia Today was that the Maidan protesters had snipers shooting at their own. That has been debunked by the Daily Beast. There was Berkut, Yanukovich's militarized police, and Alfa, the Soviet goons, shooting at the protesters from different angles and that is what Olga Bogomolets was telling both Paete and the authorities.

Occupying the overwhelmingly Russian Crimea is very different

First, it is still occupation. Second, the same region voted to secede from the USSR in 1991, and it contains sizable Ukrainian and Tartar minorities that do not want to be ruled from the Kremlin. I agree that it is the easiest to control, but make no mistake about it, there will be resistance to the occupation in Crimea as well.

You assume that they planned an invasion

There were massive formations in aggressive posture around the border, including medical units, so that is why I think that the evidence shows preparedness for invasion. Obviously, any time an invasion is prepared there is a chance that the adversary folds and there is no need to invade. But nothing was yielded to the Kremlin and yet they now claim, essentially, what you are claiming, that they did not have plans to invade. In the meantime the window for invasion is closing because the Ukrainian government is organizing itself and apparently has gotten sufficient guarantees from the West. And so the Sovs backed off.

All he needs is for the relevant areas to have pro-Russian governments, and for the constitution to greatly limit the power of Kiev over those regions.

And he is so nicely asking for it, how can anyone refuse? The Kremlin is not getting any of that unless it invades and occupies the East, -- which is declared to be not the case.

Given how counterproductive an invasion would have been, and how easy it has been for him to be in a position where he can get everything he wanted at little cost

It was perhaps doable, -- still not easy -- before the troops in Crimea. At this point RF is seen as a clear aggressor that must not get appeased.

Depends on the evidence. Someone was taking the pictures of their deployment; there might be pictures of a more incriminating character. Also, some of the fellow alfas might talk. But yes, if their pictures get published anywhere, they will be targeted men. The Ukies got their passion stirred, they won't let it rest one way or the other.

Heck no! If you are an example they should all live, if for nothing else than entertainment value.

I'm so sorry for says unkind things about a possible "t" cell in their DNA. What WAS I thinking? That kind of "t" cell is spread throughout human DNA.

One only has to remember Al Capone and friends. Oh yes, the mob too. They now work out of Vegas, methinks.

As for gay marriage--there is no such thing, no matter what the "courts" say. THAT is evil.

I guess I should put the [SARCASM] tag after saying things about the Russians. I didn't know such thin skins existed on the FR.

Right now Putin is backpedaling... so clearly the intended invasion of East Ukraine was a miscalculation on his part. He may still regroup and invade, but he already lost the momentum.

I think that if he were going to invade eastern Ukraine he would have done it by now. If you are going to do unpopular acts do them all at once and get it done. There is little to be gained by waiting.

“That is a fact because he lost the momentum to invade.”

Define ‘momentum’. If he never intended to invade then your statement is just silly.

“the Russian DNA has a unique “t” cell, the THUG cell.”

DNA doesn’t even have cells. Ignorant statement.

Nice. For any comment about armed government thugs we could post all day and night images of our own thugs that do kill Americans.
