A friend of mine has middle-school aged kids who have grown up with contempt (at best) of black people. This isn't something that was ingrained in them by their parents ... it's something they learned from watching how so many of these "teens" behave in public.

Smart kids, but that's really a pathetic indictment of the vast cultural (I deliberately didn't say racial) differences in this country.

It is people who tie a culture to a race.

It’s possible for black people to be racist in the bad old sense all their denials notwithstanding. They have what GWB called the soft bigotry of low expectations. They throw a pity party and wallow in it. Then they are shocked to discover the devil is exploiting them eight ways from Sunday.

Most people are alienated more and more from God today. Even those who championed faith are often found to be doing it for convenience’s sake more than faith’s sake.
