Several Democratic senators reportedly plan to introduce as soon as Thursday a set of principles and legislation aimed at fixing parts of ObamaCare amid concerns the law could cost Democrats House seats and possibly the Senate in November.
Sens. Mark Warner, D-Va.; Mark Begich, D-Alaska; Mary Landrieu, D-La.; Heidi Heitkamp, D-N.D.; Joe Manchin, D-W.Va.; and Sen. Angus King, I., Maine, will introduce proposals to improve the law, The Wall Street Journal reported.
Begich and Warner have called for allowing "copper" plans on the government-run health exchanges. The new insurance plans would offer lower premiums and higher out-of-pocket costs than the "bronze," "silver" and "gold" options currently offered.
"I've always been a believer that the law was not perfect, but you should continue to work to improve it," Begich told the newspaper. "People are seeing that as it's implemented, there are tweaks you need to do and there's just nothing wrong with that."

“This is gonna be fun. Im pretty sure that Reid will have to allow amendments..Look for Cruz to tack on one calling for either repeal or postponent for, say 125 years..”
If those Dems break with the party to save their own skin, if Reid doesn’t allow a vote, then Cruz should personally say Reid is mentally defective and should be removed from the senate in a straight jacket.
Then let Obama shoot it down. Republicans win the senate, impeach Obama and Holder then turn back this entire nightmare of 5 years.
We think the law is crappy, so, in order to save our reelection, we offer an even crappier addition to the law. You're welcome! Vote for me!
Begich, I hope you are STOMPED this year.
REPEAL OBOZOCARE. THE AMERICAN PEOPLE DON’T WANT SOCIALIZED HEALTH CARE..NO TO COMMUNISTS, SOCIALITS, MARXISTS, REVOLUTIONARIES AND MUZZIE INFILTRATORS.
“The insurance companies wanted ObamaCare. They thought it would force millions into the status of “forced customer” at the point of IRS guns.
I have zero sympathy for them,
Agreed 100%, except since insurance is a big, almost all cash business, they’ve got the money to buy the politicians, and pretty much buy any outcome they want. Look for this to turn their way, one way or the other. I’m sure they’re still trying to figure out how to make it happen without coming out to be the bad guys in this. “
Yes. Thieves and liars, from Lucifer. “The love of money is the root of all evil.” And the lie is blood running systemically through the financial system.
If that happens, then Obama wins and we are then all forced into single-payer.
So, you are willing to allow that because the insurance companies deserve to go broke.
And you’re also willing to let Obama change legislation without going through Congress.
See #107.
“Willing”?
That’s silly! The insurance companies dug their hole and no matter what I want now, I can’t undig them.
They were stupid enough to get in bed with Obama and they were warned of the intent.
The only thing that can save them now is full repeal but even then they will only be a shell of themselves when investors rapidly bail knowing there will never be “30 million new customers”.
I think I’m just gonna wait for the ‘FMJ’ plan...
And what “improvements” could possibly be needed? Nothing bad is happening because of it - their own Majority Leader said so - all of the “horror stories” were “made-up tales” and “lies.”
I call for allowing a "merde sandwich" plan!
A gold plan.
A silver plan.
A bronze plan.
And now a copper plan.
Wake me up when they announce a lead plan. That, I can prolly afford.
I think they already have the Lead Plan....as they say at the Mexican Consulate....Plata o Plomo?
How about the Rusty Nail plan?
They’ve already got that....the “fine” or “tax” however you want to call it. It’s cheap now but goes up later.
So far as I know if you pay the fine you do not get any coverage but I could be wrong about that...
