There's some debate about how to survive the Zombie Apocalypse. Some say science will save us all, some will rely on math, and still others are banking on specialty gadgets. You can buy Zombie Apocalypse survival kits, and there are even Zombie Apocalypse maps that pinpoint where the danger zones would be in a zombie-mergency.

But the geniuses at Estately have crunched the numbers and determined which U.S. states are the best prepared for any zombie-related disasters in the near future based on 11 metrics, from residents' physical ability to weapons access.

Estately zombie apocalypse states ranking Estately

We weren't kidding when we said Estately crunched the numbers for all sorts of zombie-busting factors. Here's what the company looked at for each state:

This is true — but it may soon be reaching the point were the general population finds it utterly intolerable, we shall see.

By the time the “Gen Pop” finds things intolerable, let’s hope you are long gone (bugged out), or playing “the grey man”.

Got plans? (don’t share!)

Minnesota and North Dakota should be much higher, due to freezing temperatures. If the outbreak happened in the winter six months, the zombies would be popcicles. Easily survivable.

Wyoming and Eastern Montana, too. Hunt zombies in the winter with a snowmobile and a baseball bat (zombie polo!).

Smart move.

The children who get hurt by guns are expressing curiosity about a taboo item.

If the item isn’t taboo it loses its allure.

After they witness the damage it can do they will realize it isn’t a toy.

My well is good too, but at about 300’, there aren’t any manual pumps that can pull up the juice. And a generator big enough is gonna draw folks like flies with the noise.

Whatever state you live in the State Texas created a hell of a lot more jobs and that is just to start.

When in a foreign country the people want to hear stories about Texas.

They have never heard of whatever pissant state you live in.

It is amazing to see people badmouth Texas out of either jealousy or their inferiority complex.

Often it is a combination of both.

(Hint: Look at their gun-laws, there's no open carry.)

What does that prove? Some if the most ardent supporters of concealed carry look at open carry advocates as just this side of anachronistic.

My doctrine is to ensure she possesses a confidence producing skill-at-arms before she ever truly understands the terrible potential, so that when she DOES learn that potential she will already consider herself it's competent master (sorry, I can't bring myself to say "mistress")

I'm not worried about the relatively easy task of producing a safe kid, so much as I am aiming to produce a truly "American" woman.

Well there's the difference: everyone I know owns many of them in Florida.

Whatever state you live in the State Texas created a hell of a lot more jobs and that is just to start.

Tell me about it when they decide to blow off federal regulations (e.g. EPA), until then — *yawn*

When in a foreign country the people want to hear stories about Texas.

What does that have to do with anything; if anything it only affirms my point that Tx has reputation.

They have never heard of whatever pissant state you live in.

Who cares?

It is amazing to see people badmouth Texas out of either jealousy or their inferiority complex.
Often it is a combination of both.

Look, I've read some of the TX constitution* and, sadly, like my home state there's a huge difference between the state's own constitution and the way things are — it is the same with the federal government and, to be honest, I'm fed up with mere lip-service. Either the constitutions are meaningful binding documents or they are not, let's just quit the dishonest game of saying that they mean something and then ignoring what they say in-practice.

I don't give my home state a break on this, I don't give other states a break on it, and I don't give the federal government a break on it.

* Have you read any of it?

I have been listening to anti-Texas jealous crap twice as long as you have been here so I mainly just skim over it because it is always the same warmed over BS.

If any State is going to throw off federal regulations it will be Texas as no other State has the wherewithal to survive on its own.

Who cares? States which know they are inferior do that’s who cares.

Ok.

If any State is going to throw off federal regulations it will be Texas as no other State has the wherewithal to survive on its own.

I dunno; ID recently made some interesting strides... and then there's the GA and FL officially calling for an Article V amendment convention.
Also there's Utah's actions which could impede/dismantle the giant NSA data-colection facility therein… I've heard absolutely nothing about TX moving against the one in San Antonio.

Who cares? States which know they are inferior do that’s who cares.

Again, you miss my point which is that I'm tired of the all talk and no action that both Texas and the Republican party spew.
In the case of TX it's about how great and freedom loving the state is, despite any evidence contrary (e.g. this map).
In the case of the Republican party it's government accountability, fiscal responsibility, constitutionalism, being pro-life, being pro limited-government, and just about anything they have as a party plank.

If Alabama can’t survive better than them, we just need to go ahead and end it all, and that ain’t gonna happen.
