Good for you all. Maybe if someone leads the way other will follow. Texas is talking the game, but not doing much about it. So lead the way, if your state pulls it off, it will be inspirational. Maybe others will ask “why not us too”?"
Our Constitution allows for us to create a new govt, most state constitutions don't. Texas cannot secede as easily as us, because, while Maine was made a state by seceding form Massachusetts, Texas was defeated and captured at the end of the civil war.
If, what you see on www.MaineTV.net sounds good to you, then plan on moving here soon. After the secession vote, the gates will be closed to immigration for at least 1 year. And then only by strict quota based upon the population make up after the vote and by the official census done during the following three months.
