Did their report say what percentage of those users are REALLY PISSED OFF about the drastic reduction in battery life with the new iOS?

Sorry, mine is fine.

Perhaps some of the Apple hardware got too close to a Windows machine - which as we know is bad for both people and hardware.

Badda bing, badda-boom!

We recently purchased our first IPhones and noticed how quickly the batteries depleted.

I was listening to Rush recently and he was complaining about the battery life issue. He said that he has been charging his phone completely and then shutting it down and restarting it. He contends that he has experienced longer battery life using this method.

I have been doing the same and it appears that it does impact the life of the battery charge.

I dunno why, but if you see the battery life decreasing quickly after a recharge, you can try restarting the phone. I’ve seen the battery life jump back up significantly after doing so. A little annoying, but it’s not actually the battery.

Have no worry ... whatever is causing that will be addressed. It always is, when glitches pop up (and they do pop up, as is true for everyone).

I haven't noticed a significant reaction in batter life - it might even be slightly better on my 4S. I'd suggest going into settings, though, and disabling some of the automatic updates (like App Store/iTunes Store) and background app refresh if you don't need it and maybe shut some stuff off in location services that are unnecessary. That usually fixes battery life issues.

"….. the drastic reduction in battery life…."

We have 4 all experiencing the same issue. Checking around for a fix, the number one suggestion amounts to 'reduce you usage of the device'. Lord it's getting hard to love Apple these days….

Hey NSA monitoring eats up the juice...seriously though, I think it has to do with the icalendar which I turned off. That made a big difference.
