Why would they fly the families to see the debris? I my loved one was on that plane the last thing I would want to see was the wreckage of the plane.

2+ weeks of torturous misinformation, rumors, conjecture. The flight is thousands of miles off course from original flight plan. Many will need to see proof of the incomprehensible to resolve reasonable doubt. I probably would too at this point.

Godspeed to the families of MH370 in the next leg of their horrific journey to find truth.

I remember seeing family members of what I believe was a Korean airliner, at the site of a crash in the water.

It’s not for them to see the debris, the families said prayers and dropped flowers and mementos in the ocean. Of course, there was a lot of crying. It was more like a funeral service.

My son was killed by a red light runner, the last thing I needed to see was the wreckage he died in.
