In the poorest state in the nation, where supper is fried, bars allow smoking, chronic disease is rampant and doctors are hard to come by, Obamacare rolls into town in a lime green bus. It took some real convincing by the Obama administration and a leap of faith by one state Republican official to get one of the nations largest insurance companies Humana to set up shop across Mississippi. Virtually no other insurer was willing to do so, discouraged by the acute health needs here and most elected officials outright hostility to the law....

Humana will have to charge all its policy holders more to make up for 40 counties of Blacks in Mississippi. You can thank MI Insurance Commissioner Chaney (R) for the privilege of providing ObamaCare to the Obama cult there.

Won’t be many takers in Mississippi...you’ve got entire counties that are almost entirely covered by Medicare/Medicaid, and residents who are more prosperous want nothing to do with Obamacare.

I want them to keep spreading the “good word” about Mississippi and all our multitudinous sins and shortcomings. That helps to kepp the riff-raff out (not enough bennies, too poor and conservarive for the libs fleeing their overtaxed fouled nests, etc). Let them pour it on.

Convince them that they should stay in the nest they've already messed in.

Exxxx-actly. And don't forget that we all live in trailers which are periodically relocated by way of hurricane-force winds. And that we pay the lowest amount of "entitlements" of any state in the union, and couldn't afford to pay more if they all moved here and voted for it. Oh, I could give them lots of reasons (for a leftist) why they would never, ever want to live here-but it's my dirty little secret that my beloved Mississippi is one of the most free states in the union, as far as people minding their own business and having our right to protect ourselves while doing so.
I don't even like us being in the news for any reason, good or bad (though it's generally bad if we get media attention), because I want my state to remain ignored and under the radar. Any attention will really screw up a good thing.
