Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia: New French satellite images show possible debris from a missing Malaysian airliner deep in the southern Indian Ocean, Malaysia said on Sunday, adding to growing signs that the plane may have gone down in remote seas off Australia.
The latest lead comes as the international search for Malaysian Airlines Flight MH370 entered its third week, with still no confirmed trace of the Boeing 777 that vanished with 239 people on board.
"This morning, Malaysia received new satellite images from the French authorities showing potential objects in the vicinity of the southern corridor," the Malaysian Transport Ministry said in a statement. "Malaysia immediately relayed these images to the Australian rescue co-ordination centre." The statement gave no details as to whether the objects were in the same vicinity as the other possible finds in a vast swathe of some of the most inhospitable sea territory on Earth.
The first visual sighting of objects that might be linked to the plane boosted search operations on Sunday. Australian officials said a wooden cargo pallet, along with belts or straps, was spotted Saturday in a remote stretch of the southern Indian Ocean that has become the focus of an intense international search in recent days.
Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia: Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott said Sunday there was "increasing hope" of finding the plane.

Thanks for the info. This story is never going to end is it..one crazy turn after another..first they need to find this debris and determine what it is, once and for all

Well prepare for disappointment because the Boeing 777 uses a metal container system for cargo. All cargo is loaded into metal containers. They dont use wooden pallets.
Ask yourself why the news media could not just have gotten a Boeing engineer on in say an hour or so and had him confirm they dont use wooden pallets?
Can you say disinformation?
Like I said before Meanwhile on an airstrip in W Pakistan. :-)
Re: “good for an hour of video on CNN”
LOL. Remember when Letterman used to play the “Does It Float” game on his show? CNN could just start playing that with all kinds of “stuff”.
We are talking about a country outside the USA. I have seen them carrying live chickens on board flights. India uses trucks with wooden chassis so anything goes outside of us.
Obama was the HAPPIEST when this jet disappeared....he knew the “shiny ball” would distract the media away from covering Obamacare........oh wait, they weren’t covering Obamacare ANYWAY!! Nevermind.
They're either going to find the wreckage, or they're going to find a newer and juicier story to bump this one off of the lead.
They did. See reply 29.
These families deserve the truth..I can move on, but these families can’t and that is what this should have been all about since the beginning..the media has made this into a mockery..I always pray for the glimmer of hope that this plane is somewhere and these people are still alive..even that 1 percent chance is better than nothing
No disagreement there.
...that is what this should have been all about since the beginning..the media has made this into a mockery...
No disagreement on that either. It's what the media does best.
I just find out everything happened so “Perfectly” plane is flying along, no problem..alright goodnight, all is well..then TWO minutes later, adios plane..like Im supposed to believe that some catastrophic event happened two minutes after all is well is just too perfect to be true..Air France was a panic situation, no one turned off the ACARS and transponder..I actually heard a “Pilot Psychologist” on Fox News earlier today suggest that the pilot turned off the transponder “By mistake in a panic situation” WOW some panic, they turned off the ACARS 15 minutes later, guess they relaxed and panicked again LOL
Planes have mechanical problems, that is a fact..they don’t disappear off the face of the earth
Pssssst.... it's 'jetsam'.
Some of these stories just aren’t slated right.
I pine for the days when the media actually went out of the box and did investigative reporting, instead of routing us their packaged opinions or speculation. Its worse when they hammer on their spoon fed lines of propaganda.
Speaking of having someone from Boeing on...have they ever interviewed anyone from Boeing, since this all started?
Sometimes they do. Lots of examples where they were found years later. Sometimes pilots fly perfectly good airplanes into the water or earth. A 777 maybe big but the Pacific is a lot of real estate to hide in.

********
Not that I recall...but then when this first was reported missing on March 7 on Fox, I avoided the story (they have had other expert guests).
It seemed like propaganda just like other recent events like Sandy Hook and Boston. There is something they want us to believe and it isn’t what really happened - whatever it was.
So ask yourself - what is it they want us to believe? And what are they NOT revealing?
I have not witnessed anyone from Boeing, the other fact that has not been revealed is the number of pounds of fuel on board. This is easily obtained and is documented at the airport. If someone has read it please share. The common answer is they had enough for flight. Some airlines will put more fuel on the aircraft at their base airport due to over charging that occurs China.
Did you say Menudo? ;)
Just like TWA 800. Probably a problem with their child and they are keeping it from the flying public. We will forever be looking for the hijackers or errant missiles.
thanks seekandfind!
All y’all, see posts #2, 24, 26,35,and 36 about shipping containers used in the planes; they use aluminum ones.
If wooden pallets are found in that debris, its not from the plane..
We are talking Malaysia here. Different mindsets.
