You’ve touched a hot button issue for some folks and are lamenting/complaining that they are being passionate about it in their responses to you? What, exactly, did you expect? That you could post a comment and not expect pushback? That everyone would fall in line with your position?
Disagreements are one thing, but complaining that your position is being challenged is another...and then name calling...almost getting into the nazi references (JBT’s) is something else that won’t engender much if any support.
You have a position, fine. Stick with it but know that it comes the liability of having other folks disagree with it.
