I think that is too far fetched
After all, China is a major investor in America, 2d or 3rd largest buyer of our debt
Why do they want to see our economy crash and take all their treasuries down with it- how is a nuked nation going to assure their investment is sound and pay them back?
They seek hegemony in the western pacific and assured access to resources worldwide, but we are not at the end stage of having to kill each others’ cities- just imo
