That must have been a while ago. I do remember a column by a black guy that didn't make the cut for HLS, but did for Yale. Harvard found out that he was black, and offered him admission.
He wrote that he went to Yale because they didn't discriminate.
As for legacies, I'd bet that JFK Jr. got in that way, only from his handful of failures before finally passing the NYS bar. That, and I think he went to Brown as an undergrad. Brown is notorious for accepting less-than-qualified offspring from well-heeled families (particularly from Hollywood money).
Now that was very smart, not only will the education be better, it will most likely be much safer as well.

Depends on the school, we had a great player caught smoking e-cigs (strawberry flavored) off campus near a housing complex and one the busy body parents call the cops.
He was suspend for three games of a 10 game season.
Of course affirmative action wasn’t a factor with BHO being admitted to Harvard Law School. One look at his name and they assumed he was WASP.
