14-year-old Henrik Eide Dahl consumed 8 liters about 270 ounces of an energy drink so he could stay awake playing Call of Duty. Expected to make a full recovery, the teen says he now knows it is not good to drink that much energy drink.
A Norwegian teen was hospitalized with severe kidney failure after a 16-hour, caffeine-fueled Call of Duty video game binge.

JOLT made gum, too. Don’t know if you can still get that.
Which "Call of Duty"? Stupid reporters.
Kidney, hell. I'm surprised his bladder didn't blow.
I remember back in da day I drank JOLT Cola to stay up study on high school exams LOLAnybody remember that drink LOL!
I do. I never actually finished one. The stuff tasted horrible warm and I would find that I still had about 4 ounces or so left after an all-nighter.
I tried to drink a red bull one morning at work. It didn’t stay down more than 5 minutes.
Yuuuuch! And never again.
I remember it. I avoided it like the plague.
Don’t blame you. Stuff is as nasty as heck.
What I don’t get is the fascination with “Call of duty”
People pay big bucks to play this stuff.
You can get real guns for less.
There is few times I rode that train LOL!
Yeah when you get end of can I remember that taste warm
Good one...such a classic
I’ll stick to beer. Geesh, I never got kidney failure from a bender.
For 16 hours?
8l of water in 16 hours can cause systems to shut down if you don’t have enough electrolytes.
I'd think they'd be a tad concerned that their 14 year old was playing games for 16 straight hours!
Yeesh!.
Well, HOW DID HE DO????
Did he SAVE THE WORLD???
If so, then it’s worth a kidney (or two). This is what ANGERS ME so much. We have a kid here that is willing to go toe-to-toe with the BAD GUYS and all we worry about a couple of little internal organs.
How about we learn to APPRECIATE the sacrifice that kid was willing to make for the cause - for we would not even be here now if he was defeated.
(i.e., how today’s parents view video games)
Hey we got a future Marine here
