If you read the article, you will see that the DNA evidence excluded Mr. Howard from being a suspect. It was withheld by Nifong and his gang. They also had tips naming the suspects but ignored them or hid them. This guy was railroaded.......................

They also had tips naming the suspects but ignored them or hid them. This guy was railroaded. I read it (even though it's more fun to comment without reading). Howard should be released and paid generously for the violation of his rights and the loss of a significant portion of his life, and I assume both are almost automatic at this point. It's the rest of Nifong's victims who have to be located by reviewing his cases - that's an issue that won't take care of itself.

And there is a clear pattern of generalized prosecutorial misconduct over a long period of time. Even the rather flaky novelist Peterson seems to have been a victim of a vendetta and he was certainly crucified by programs like 48 hours.
