Guardian: Yanukovych set to become president as observers say Ukraine election was fair

CNN This year's elections, by contrast to those in 2004, got a clean bill of health from the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, which sent observers. The OSCE hailed the process as "professional, transparent and honest," saying it should "serve as a solid foundation for a peaceful transition of power."

Washington Post World Digest: International observers say Ukrainian election was free and fair

Not a fan of the guy but what exactly needs to happen before we respect an election result? Do people rioting, like those in the pic from Taiwan, get to overturn election results? If those in Kiev can overthrow the elected government, why can't the people of Crimea?

You are seriously citing three left-wing publications as proof that the last Ukraine election was legitimate?

I’m sure “international observers” find no fault with our elections either.

Even if you accept his election, which I do not, he was a traitorous Russian puppet scumbag criminal and his removal was both justified and lawful.

If Crimea wants to leave Ukraine, that’s just fine and dandy. But it should be done in accordance with Ukrainian law and not with RUSSIAN TROOPS in the g*d damn streets.

And I don’t give a flying damn if Obama and the EU agree with me. I am content not being on the same side as Putin and Ron Paul.
