New York's extreme, unconstitutional actions against gun owners have emboldened gun-grabbers across the state -- even in the classroom. A high school student in upstate New York was suspended for wearing an NRA T-shirt that touted the 2nd Amendment after he refused to turn it inside out or cover the words with duct tape.
Shane Kinney, a 16-year-old sophomore from Grand Island, located between Niagara Falls and Buffalo, said he served a one-day, in-school suspension Monday after he refused last Friday to turn his T-shirt inside out at the request of the vice principal at Grand Island High School. The shirt was emblazoned with the NRA logo and the words, 2nd Amendment Shall not be Infringed across the back.

Scouts Out! Cavalry Ho!
The article has contact info for the principal who said the shirt “promotes violence” and also his boss the superintendent.
Good for him.
When you are right, do not knuckle under.
.
Ask the clown administrators, “What part of THE BILL OF RIGHTS would you like to censor????!!!!!!
It would be interesting to produce 10 shirts, each promoting one article of the Bill Of Rights. You could start with the 10th, then wear the 9th, then the 8th, and so on. After the Third, you’d wear the Second. And if they had a problem with it (or not) you’d show up wearing the First Amendment the very next day.
It must have been the word “RIFLE” on the shirt that threw everyone into a panic and had them screaming “Oh, the humanity!”. Imagine if there had actually been a picture of one. Oh wait, there was. Call in the trauma specialists! Put this kid on Ritalin.
Government school "officials"??
Incite violence?
This country is way beyond the point where controlling government will be changed by traditional means...
They could suspend me forever.
There’s noting for anyone to learn from these useless idiots.
How do these leftists expect to have a Communist police state if everyone is conditioned to be so afraid of guns that no one will be able to stand even the sight of a gun-ralated T-shirt? I don’t think our Commies have thought this one through! /sarcasm ;)
Short version. When my daughter did her senior paper on the Revolutionary war. It ...ended... with Paul Revere’s ride. I asked her where the rest of the ...you know ACTUAL WAR was. Are you ready?
“That’s all they taught us Dad.”
So I taught her the rest of what she didn’t know. Oh, and they would only grade on what was taught so she HAD to avoid the rest.
That was in the mid 2000s.
Yep. A country of frightened sheep is exactly what they need to usher in their otherwise utopian society. Once the government has a monopoly on the use of violence, it will of course become benevolent and caring in its total power, like a master with his beloved but defanged and muzzled dog.
I wonder what the high school in Rifle Colorado does?
High school in Rifle Colorado? That’s a tough one. They’ve probably reeducated all the students to think that Rifle means condom.
i think the nra ought to offer shirts to any kid in public school, and encourge wearing them as often as possible.
maybe they could do all the amendments and make a series out of them, and really’piss off the teachers.
also maybe a teacher’tshirt: teachers are just regular people who are not perfect, can be wrong, and make mistakes
further a anti-union tshirt: unions prop up under-performing members at the expense of members who excel.
i think it’s time for in your face crap everyday. they shove it in the kids’ faces everyday.
Grand Island is one of those geographic oddities that makes for great trivia betting. It’s one of only a few spots in the US where you can travel South and wind up in Canada.
The shirt doesn't promote violence. The statement and actions of the principal promote violence. He makes me want to take a rolled up newspaper, smack him on the nose, and say, "NO!!!"
Mark
That would be it for me. I would never darken the doors of that school again.
Wow...
That is very similar to how “news” works in our country these days.
What is not reported almost seems more important than what is reported. Basically, ignore reality until it goes away.
