Reagans response was, So?
I miss Reagan - and his influence on the party... Great story - thanks for sharing.
The Chinese-American people I know (quite a few) would not do this on principle.
Oh yes they do.
Tiger Mom Brigade!!
Immigrants and minorities vote two or three to one for Dems. Asians voted 73% for Obama in 2012, higher than the 71% by Hispanics.
America needs more Koreans
Anecdotal observations don’t mean a lot. I had a Thai partner in a business we had together. We called ourselves a minority owned business to get government contracts. Money trumps all. You would be stupid not to take advantage of the preferences.
Koreans vote big time for the Dems. According to a Multilingual Exit poll from the 2012 Election, 77% of Korean Americans voted for Democrat Barack Obama while only 20% voted for Republican Mitt Romney. The poll also showed that 60% of Korean Americans identify themselves as being Democrats, while only 14% of Korean Americans identify themselves as being Republican.
Bonus: This clown Lieu is also running for Henry Waxman's seat in the U.S. Congress.
No wonder there are so many Thai restaurants that sprung up overnight (last 25 years)..... They are getting SBA loans
If you screw up the restaurant and go bankrupt....I am getting a strange feeling you can get another SBA loan and try again.
Are Federal SBA loans financing the huge growth in ethnic restaurants in America?
I once read of a scam where Indians will buy, operate for a few years, then sell SBA financed motels for an ever increasing price. Then the last Mr Patel pays an inflated price and goes bankrupt with SBA holding the bag
...running for Henry Waxman’s seat ... is probably the reason for the odd behavior.
