Lawrence Torcello received his Ph.D. in Philosophy from the University at Buffalo in 2006. His research interests include ethical theory and applied ethics, social and political philosophy, moral pluralism, and skepticism. His current projects investigate the practical consequences and ethical responsibilities implicit to democratic citizenship in morally diverse societies, particularly in the domains of medicine, education, animal welfare, the environment, public policy, and political discourse. Dr. Torcellos recent work pursues the moral implications of global warming denialism, as well as other forms of science denialism.
Thanks.
That figures, just a clown who couldn’t pass College Algebra trying to make BS extrapolations into dogma.
The return of the Inquisitors.
ethical responsibilities implicit to democratic citizenship in morally diverse societies.
This guy claims to be a student of philosophy?
"Ethical Responsibilities" ?
According to who ?
"Morally diverse"?
There is, in philosophy, an effort for the expression of logic. Those logical statements may be based on false assumptions, but they should not be circular or self refuting.
We are witnessing a complete breakdown, of what was a well established protocol for both science and philosophy.
Logic is now relative.
Science is now subjective.
Morals are no longer Objective.
This guy and these people are promoting the acceptance and their "Embrace of Uncertainty"
Is it "unethical" to say someone is "Unethical"?
This is what they are trying to advance.
What a doofus, too lazy to even shave properly.
Larry Torcello has altogether demonstrated his complete unsuitability to *be* an assistant professor of philosophy, or any other study of worth for that matter. I award him no points, and am deducting some for completely wasting everyone's time with this adolescent drivel...
