Perry needs to come out with a book about his successes.
Hopefully he’s learned to do some homework, I’d vote for him in the general w/o any second thoughts. This is not to say he’d be my first choice in a primary, have to see what the field looks like first.
I could support Perry, should he get the nomination.
Ted Cruz tops my list.

I do look at the history and records of the candidates, versus what they say when they are running. Perry would have been better than Romney or Obama, but we would have looked back on him as another Bush, overseeing the permanent transfer of power to the Left.
More than one reason. Whoever we support will be President, I won't rule out any candidate on a single issue. Perry is spot on with every conservative issue, a dream come-true after O. I will support any candidate who's not a GOPe (except after primary, will even support them) because the alternative is unthinkable.
Conservatives had better stop being so picky that they wait until their choice is taken away from them, like Romney or worse, Obama.

Actually my 1st choice is Dr. Carson, 2nd Rick Perry, 3rd Ted Cruz but I’ll work my butt off for any of them.
The T.E.A. Party will have to fight off the GOPe and the likes of Donut Boy.
I still don’t have the heart to support Perry.

Carson has said some pretty anti-gun things in the past, and he has zero record of public office.
There isn’t much chance of him even raising enough for a primary run. He should run for congress in a black tilted district that has a white demoncrap incumbent. Let him get a record first.

As of this minute he is the only one beside Sarah Palin I would vote for if either ran for president..What would be great for this country is to have both in the race and have the one that won make the other VP..This country would turn around from the MUSLIM COMMUNIST thing that is going on here right now..
I like Perry — He has an excellent track record in Texas.
At this point I would like to see him either get contact lenses or classier glasses. Appearances count for a lot in elections — probably even more than substance.

The big problem we have as conservatives is tearing other conservatives apart. Cruz will be. Paul will be. Sessions will be. Perry will be. Lee will be. Palin will be. Alan West will be. Those are my favorites
There are also a few with some blemishes who deserve a serious look because we would have preferred them last time to Romney:
Scott Walker, Susanna Martinez, Marco Rubio, and I’ll get blasted for this, but...Jeb Bush. ( You all know you’d have preferred Jeb to Mitt last time around.)
Otherwise, I want a candidate who's an effective communicator and who's basic governing philosophy is the more local, the better.
Far from being an "unappeasable" seeking the "perfect candidate", that is all it would take to tickle me to death.
Agree with all but Jeb Bush.
